Abstract

Studi gaya berat untuk memperoleh gambaran struktur dan stratigrafi bawah permukaan Perairan Arafura dilakukan untuk mengetahui adanya keberadaan cekungan sedimen. Delineasi cekungan ini diharapkan menjadi indikator kemungkinan potensi hidrokarbon daerah penelitian. Pengolahan data dengan koreksi gaya berat rutin hingga diperoleh anomali Bouguer lengkap. Tahap berikutnya yaitu filter kontinuasi ke bawah untuk menghasilkan anomali Bouguer residual. Berdasarkan anomali residual, dilakukan pemodelan 2D dengan tujuh lintasan sayatan dan diperoleh empat lapisan. Lapisan paling bawah ditafsirkan ke dalam litologi batuan dolomite dengan nilai densitas 2,6255 - 2,6369 gr/cc. Lapisan di atasnya dengan nilai densitas 2,4990 - 2,5100 gr/cc ditafsirkan ke dalam litologi batuan limestone. Lapisan di atasnya lagi dapat diinterpretasikan ke dalam litologi batuan shale dengan nilai densitas 2,4375 - 2,4500 gr/cc. Dan lapisan paling atas dengan nilai densitas 1,9060 - 2,1730 gr/cc ditafsirkan ke dalam litologi batuan sandstone. Keberadaan cekungan sedimen setelah dilakukan delineasi diduga terletak di sebelah utara mengarah ke barat daya. Berdasarkan kesebandingan hasil yang diperoleh dengan stratigrafi yang ada, diperkirakan bahwa dolomite dan limestone memiliki umur permian, yang terbentuk pada era Paleozoikum dengan formasi Aifam group. Lapisan shale memiliki umur jurassic hingga cretaceous yang terbentuk pada era Cenozoikum dengan formasi Tipuma group dan Klembengan group. Sedangkan sandstone memiliki umur tertiary dengan formasi Imskjn group.;--Gravity study to obtain the structure and subsurface stratigraphy of the Arafura Waters was conducted to determine the existence of sedimentary basins. Delineation of these basins is expected to be a possible indicator of the hydrocarbon potential of the study area. Data processing with routine gravity correction until a complete Bouguer anomaly is obtained. The next stage is a downward continuation filter to produce a residual Bouguer anomaly. Based on residual anomalies, 2D modeling was done with seven incision paths and four layers were obtained. The lowest layer is interpreted into dolomite lithology with a density value of 2.6255 - 2.6369 gr/cc. Above layer with a density value of 2.4990 - 2.5100 gr/cc is interpreted into limestone rock lithology. The upper layer can be interpreted into shale lithology with a density value of 2.4375 - 2.4500 gr/cc. And the top layer with a density value of 1.9060 - 2.1730 gr/cc is interpreted into sandstone lithology. The existence of sedimentary basins after delineation is thought to be located to the north leading to the southwest. Based on the comparability of the results obtained with existing stratigraphy, it is estimated that dolomite and limestone have permian age, which were formed in the Paleozoic era with the Aifam group formation. The shale layer has a jurassic to cretaceous age formed during the Cenozoic era with the formation of the Tipuma group and Klembengan group. While sandstone has a tertiary age with Imskjn group formation.
