Abstract

Perancangan Masjid Agung Kabupaten Subang betujuan untuk mengembalikan peranan Masjid sebagai pusat kegiatan umat Islam dengan menekankan aspek Hissiyah sebagai acuan fungsi Masjid. Dalam perancangan ini digunakanlah metode pendekatan kontekstual dengan arsitektur bangunan sekitar dengan cara menerjemahkan nilai-nilai simbolik kedalam desain Masjid Agung. Selain itu, desain ini akan menyediakan ruang publik dengan cara menambah fungsi dan akses, serta meningkatkan kualitas fasilitas publik. Masjid Agung Kabupaten Subang juga didesain agar mampu berperan sebagai ruang publik dan tenggaran di pusat Kota Subang. Sehingga, dengan mengangkat konsep Masjid sebagai ruang publik dan pusat kegiatan Umat Islam, Masjid Agung dapat berfungsi sebagai wadah aktifitas masyarakat yang pada akhirnya mampu membuat Masjid makmur dengan melibatkan masyarakat.;--The Great Mosque of Subang Regency design aims to restore the mosque's role as a center for Muslim activities by emphasizing the Hissiyah aspect as a reference for the function of the Mosque. In this design, a contextual approach to the architecture of surrounding buildings is used by translating symbolic values into the design of the Great Mosque. Also, this design will provide public space by adding functionality and access and improving the quality of public facilities. The Great Mosque of Subang Regency is also designed to be able to play a role as a public space and landmark in the center of Subang City. Thus, by raising the concept of the mosque as a public space and center of activities of the Islamic ummah, the Great Mosque can function as a forum for community activities that will ultimately be able to make the Mosque prosper by involving the community.
