ABSTRAK PENERAPAN METODE SUKU KATA DENGAN REPOSISI BUNYI MELALUI APLIKASI COMPLETE THE TEXT DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PERMULAAN ANAK TUNAGRAHITA RINGAN DI SEKOLAH HAYAT SCHOOL BANDUNG Tirta Ardiansyah NIM. 1604694 Program Studi Pendidikan Khusus, Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Peserta didik tunagrahita adalah individu yang secara alamiah memiliki hambatan intelektual sehingga memerlukan media yang responsif dan inovatif dalam pembelajaran. Hambatan potensialnya menimbulkan tantangan bagi guru dalam membuat, memilih dan menggunakan metode serta media untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran, khususnya kemampuan membaca permulaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan metode suku kata dengan reposisi bunyi melalui aplikasi Complete The Text dalam pembelajaran membaca permulaan bagi peserta didik tunagrahita ringan di Hayat School Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif serta subyek penelitian berjumlah 5 orang peserta didik tunagrahita ringan. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan asesmen. Adapun prosedur penelitian dilaksanakan melalui tahapan sebagai berikut: (1) Tahap eksplorasi, dan (2) Tahap implementasi, untuk mengetahui penerapan aplikasi Complete The Text dalam pembelajaran membaca permulaan pada tunagrahita ringan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, penerapan metode suku kata dengan reposisi bunyi melalui aplikasi Complete The Text dalam kemampuan membaca permulaan menunjukkan kemampuan membaca peserta didik menjadi baik, motivasi belajar meningkat dan proses pembelajaran lebih menyenangkan pada peserta didik. ABSTRACT APPLICATION OF THE SYLLABLE METHOD WITH THE PREPOSITION OF SOUND THROUGH THE COMPLETE THE TEXT APLICATION IN THE ABILITY OF READING THE BEGINNING OF CHILDREN WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY IN HAYAT SCHOOL BANDUNG Tirta Ardiansyah NIM. 1604694 Special Education Study Program, School of Postgraduates Studies Indonesia University of Education Mentally retarded students are individuals who naturally have intellectual barriers that require responsive and innovative media in learning. Its potential obstacles pose a challenge for teachers in making, choosing and using methods and media to achieve learning goals, especially the ability to read the beginning. This study aims to apply the syllable method by repositioning sounds through the Complete The Text application in early reading learning for mild mentally retarded students at Hayat School Bandung. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and the research subjects amounted to 5 people with mild mental retardation. Data obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and assessment. The research procedure is carried out through the following stages: 1) Exploration phase, and (2) The implementation phase, to find out the application of Complete The Text application in early reading learning in mild mental retardation. The results showed that the application of syllable methods to sound prepositioning through the Complete The Text application in the ability to read early showed students' reading skills to be good, learning motivation increased and the learning process was more enjoyable for students.
