Abstract

Penelitian terkait komunikasi interpersonal perawat dan pasien gangguan jiwa dalam aktifitas komunikasi terapeutik penting dilakukan karena komunikasi memiliki pengaruh yang cukup besar terhadap kesembuhan pasien terlebih dalam memotivasi kesembuhan pasien, membangun kepercayaan diri pasien dan membuat pasien merasa terlindungi dan tidak terabaikan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana komunikasi dan interaksi perawat dengan pasien gangguan jiwa yang bisa menghasilkan komunikasi yang efektif untuk penyembuhan pasien dengan melihat ciri ciri komunikasi interpersonal seperti interaksi yang berlangsung, suasana komunikasi dan jarak komunikasi, baik fisik ataupun psikologis. Komunikasi interpersonal juga dibarengi dengan lima sikap positif yaitu keterbukaan, empati, sikap mendukung, sikap positif dan kesetaraan peran komunikasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan strategi studi kasus di RSJ Provinsi Jawa Barat.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa arus pesan antara perawat dan pasien gangguan jiwa tidak selalu dua arah, melainkan bisa hanya komunikasi satu pihak saja, dalam komunikasi antara perawat dan pasien gangguan jiwa hal terpenting yaitu membangun kedekatan dan suasana yang akrab&nyaman antara perawat dan pasien gangguan jiwa. Keefektifan komunikasi antara perawat dan pasien gangguan jiwa juga bisa dibantu dengan lima sikap positif, yaitu keterbukaan, empati, sikap saling mendukung, sikap positif dan kesetaraan peran dalam komunikasi. ;---Research about interpersonal communication between nurse and mental disorder patient wthin therapeutic communication is important because communication has a considerable influence on patient recovery especially in motivating patient recovery, building patient confidence and making the patient feel protected and not overlooked. This study aims to find out how communication and interaction of nurses with psychiatric patients who can produce effective communication for healing patients by looking at the characteristics of interpersonal communication such as ongoing interaction, communication atmosphere and communication distance, both physical and psychological. Interpersonal communication is also accompanied by five positive attitudes, namely openness, empathy, supportive attitude, positive attitude and equality of communication roles. The research method used in this study is a qualitative case study strategy in West Java Provincial Hospital. The results of this study indicate that the flow of messages between nurses and mental disorder patients is not always two-way, but can only be one-party communication, in communication between nurses and psychiatric patients the most important thing is to build closeness and a familiar & comfortable atmosphere between nurses and psychiatric patients. The effectiveness of communication between nurses and psychiatric patients can also be helped by five positive attitudes, namely openness, empathy, mutual support, positive attitudes and equality of roles in communication
