Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar IPA tentang perubahan kenampakan bumi pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Subangjaya III Kecamatan Cikole Kota Sukabumi dengan nilai rata-rata 53,67. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA tentang perubahan kenampakan bumi melalui media gambar pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Subangjaya III kecamatan Cikole Kota Sukabumi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Subangjaya III jumlah siswa 30 terdiri dari 12 siswa laki-laki dan 18 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang peneliti lakukan melalui tes dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar siswa meningkat setelah pembelajaran menggunakan media gambar. Perolehan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar pada siklus I adalah 73 artinya hasil belajar siswa telah mencapai KKM akan tetapi masih ada 3 siswa yang belum tuntas sehingga perlu adalagi tindakan selanjutnya yaitu pembelajaran pada siklus II. Pembelajaran pada siklus II rata-rata hasil belajar siswa adalah 79,67 artinya hasil belajar siswa tuntas semuanya yaitu 30 siswa. Ini membuktikan bahwa pembelajaran pada siklus II sesuai dengan harapan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan pembelajaran menggunakan media gambar yang variatif dan dimanfaatkan secara optimal khususnya dalam pembelajaran IPA berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. The research is related to the minimum result of students’ science learning about the change of nature features in SDN SUBANGJAYA 3, Sukabumi, which has average score, 53.76. The objective of this research is to know whether the result of sixth grader of SDN SUBANGJAYA 3 in science learning about the change of nature features by using picture can improve their score or not. The researcher used Classroom Action Research as the research method, which is consisting of plan, teach/act, observe, and reflect. The subject of the research is the students of sixth grade of SDN SUBANGJAYA 3, which was involving 30 students. There were 12 male students and 18 female students. The technique of collecting data which is used by the researcher is test and observation. The result of this research shows that the students’ learning result by using picture is increase. It can be shown by the average score of the students, which has achieved score 7 at the first cycle. It means that the students have achieved the criteria of minimum comprehensive, but the researcher found that there were three students were not be able to reach the criteria of minimum comprehensive. So, it is necessary to make the next step. The researcher started doing action in the second cycle. At this cycle, the average score of the result of the students’ science learning is 79.67. It means that all of the students are comprehend in science learning by using picture. According to the result of the research, it can be concluded that the learning process which is using variety pictures as a media, can be used optimally to increase the students’ achievement in science learning.
