Abstract

Sensitifitas interpersonal merupakan suatu kemampuan seseorang untuk membuat penilaian yang benar terhadap sifat, prilaku, kebiasaan orang lain yang berasal dari bahasa verbal atau isyarat nonverbal. Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan sensitifitas interpersonal peserta didik laki-laki dan perempuan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional survey. Partisipan penelitian sebanyak 273 peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Bandung tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Alat ungkap data menggunakan instrumen IPSM (Interpersonal Sensitivity Measure) yang dikembangkan oleh Boyce & Parker, terdiri dari 36 sub item yang terdiri dari lima aspek sensitifitas interpersonal yaitu kesadaran interpersonal (interpersonal awareness), kebutuhan akan persetujuan (need for approval), kecemasan akan perpisahan (separation anxiety), ketidakberdayaan (timidity), kerapuhan batin (fragile innerself). Seluruh item instrumen valid dan memiliki reliabilitas 0,83 (tinggi). Analisis data menggunakan ukuran gejala pusat median dan analisis nonparametrik U-Mann Whitney untuk membandingkan kecenderungan sensitifitas interpersonal peserta didik laki-laki dan perempuan. Hasil menunjukan (1) Peserta didik memiliki sensitifitas interpersonal berada pada kategori sedang; (2) perempuan memiliki sensitifitas interpersonal yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan laki-laki; (3) setiap aspek sensitifitas interpersonal peserta didik perempuan lebih tinggi dibandingkan laki-laki kecuali pada aspek kerapuhan batin.---Interpersonal sensitivity is a person's ability to make correct judgments about the nature, behavior, personality, habits of others derived from verbal language or nonverbal cues. The study aims to describe the interpersonal sensitivity of male and female learners. The research approach used is quantitative with cross-sectional survey design. Research participants were as many as 273 students from the 10th Grade at SMA Negeri 4 Bandung in academic year of 2017/2018. The instrument used was IPSM (Interpersonal Sensitivity Measure) which was developed by Boyce & Parker. The instrument consisted of 36 sub items with five aspects of interpersonal sensitivity: interpersonal awareness, need for approval, separation anxiety, timidity, and fragile innerself. All instrument items are valid and have a reliability of 0.83 (high). Data analysis employed the measure of central tendency which is median and U-Mann Whitney nonparametric analysis to compare the interpersonal sensitivity trends of male and female learners. The results show that (1) Learners have high interpersonal sensitivity; (2) women have higher interpersonal sensitivity than men; (3) every aspect of interpersonal sensitivity of female students is higher than men except on the aspect of fragile innerself.
