Abstract
Kota Bandung memiliki lima spot yang terindikasi dark tourism yaitu, Monumen Bandung Lautan Api, gedung Asia Afrika culture centre, Gedung Sate, kamp tahanan Jepang di Cihapit dan Museum Mandala Wangsit. Dibandingkan Kabupaten Bandung, Kabupaten Bandung Barat dan Kota Cimahi, lokasi yang terindikasi dark tourism di Kota Bandung memiliki dark history yang beragam serta jumlah yang lebih banyak dalam area yang lebih kecil. Kenyataannya pemerintah belum mengembangkan dark tourism, bahkan belum dijadikan daya tarik wisata utama. Sehingga peneliti tertarik untuk mengetahui potensi dark tourism di Kota Bandung berdasarkan spektrum dark tourism dan respon wisatawan terhadap dark tourism. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Keseluruhan analisis data, diperoleh temuan bahwa potensi berdasarkan respon wisatwan terhadap daya tarik wisata pada lima tempat yang terindikasi dark tourism menunjukkan respon yang positif. Sedangkan berdasarkan spektrum dark tourism diperoleh temuan bahwa Gedung Asia Afrika Culture centre memiliki spektrum light, kawasan Cihapit light, Monumen Bandung Lautan Api memiliki spektrum dark, sedangkan museum Mandala Wangsit Siliwangi dan Gedung Sate memiliki spektrum darker. Diharapkan adanya perhatian yang lebih baik dari pemerintah maupun pengelola daya tarik wisata dengan mengembangkan lokasi terindikasi berdasarkan potensi yang ada.---------- Bandung city has five dark tourism spot, that is Bandung Lautan Api monument, Asian-African Culture centre, Gedung Sate, Japan detention camps in Cihapit and Museum of Mandala Wangsit Siliwangi. Compared to Bandung Regency, West Bandung Regency, and Cimahi city, location that indicate dark tourism in the city of Bandung has a more diverse dark history in a smaller area. In fact the Government has not developed dark tourism, hasn't even made it a major tourist attraction. So the researchers interested in knowing the potential dark tourism in Bandung City based on the spectrum of dark tourism and tourists responses against dark tourism. This research uses descriptive research methods with qualitative approaches. The overall analysis of the data, obtained findings that potential based on the response of tourists towards attractions they would place on the five dark tourism showed a positive response. While based on the spectrum of dark tourism obtained findings that Asian-African Culture centre has a light spectrum, Cihapit district has a light spectrum, Bandung Lautan Api monument has a dark spectrum, while the museum of Mandala Wangsit Siliwangi Gedung Sate have darker spectrum. It is hoped the presence of better attention from the Government as well as the provider of tourist attraction by developing the location they are based on the existing potential.
