Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jerman, para pembelajar sering mengalami kesulitan dalam menentukan verba yang terbentuk dari adjektiva, apakah verba tersebut termasuk trennbare Verben atau untrennbare Verben. Dalam penelitian ini dibahas tentang cara pembentukan verba dari adjektiva. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan, yaitu: 1) mendeskripsikan pembentukan verba dari adjektiva dalam Jugendbuch “Liebkind im Vogelnest”, dan 2) mengidentifikasikan prefiks yang dapat dikombinasikan dengan adjektiva untuk membentuk sebuah verba. Data yang dianalisis berasal dari Jugendbuch “Liebkind im Vogelnest”. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode analisis deskriptif. Melalui metode ini data dikumpulkan, diklasifikasikan, dianalisis dan disimpulkan. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: 1) pembentukan verba dari adjektiva dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi dua jenis, yaitu pembentukan verba dari gabungan adjektiva dan verba seperti “fern” + “sehen” = “fernsehen” serta pembentukan verba dari perkembangan adjektiva. Verba yang terbentuk dari perkembangan adjektiva dapat terjadi melalui 3 cara yaitu melalui konversi seperti “laut” → “lauten”, sufiksasi seperti “blond” → “blondieren” serta kombinasi antara prefiksasi dan konversi seperti “lang” → “verlangen”. Dari 35 verba yang ditemukan dari sumber data tidak satupun ditemukan verba yang terbentuk melalui proses sufiksasi. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa verba yang terbentuk dari adjektiva melalui proses sufiksasi jarang ditemukan dalam teks bahasa jerman. Dan 2) prefiks yang dapat dikombinasikan dengan adjektiva untuk membentuk sebuah verba adalah seluruh prefiks pembentuk verba, yakni prefiks asli dan prefiks tidak asli. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disarankan kepada peneliti selanjutnya untuk melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai pembentukan verba dari asal kelas kata yang berbeda seperti adverb atau nomina.---------- In learning German, the learners often have difficulty in determining verbs formed from adjective, whether those verbs belong to “trennbare” or “untrennbare Verben”. This study observes how to convert adjectives into verbs. Thus, this study aims to: 1) describe the verb formation of adjectives in Jugendbuch“Liebkind im Vogelnest” and 2) identify the prefixes that can be combined with adjective to form a verb. The data analyzed are from the Jugendbuch "Liebkind im Vogelnest". This study uses descriptive analysis method. Through this method, the data are collected, classified, analyzed and inferred. The result of this study shows that 1) the verb formation of adjectives can be classified into two types, namely the verb formation of adjective combination and verb such as “fern” + “sehen” = “fernsehen” and the verb formation of the basic word of adjectives. A verb formed from the basic word of adjective can occur in 3 ways through conversion such as “laut” → “lauten”, suffix such as “blond” → “blondieren” and the combination between prefix and conversion such as “lang” → “verlangen”. Of the 35 verbs found from the data source none of verbs formed is found through the suffixation process. So it can be concluded that verbs formed out of adjectives through the process of suffixation are rarely found in German texts. And 2) The prefixs that can be combined with the adjective to form a verb are all the verb-forming prefixes, such as the original prefix and the non-original prefix. Based on the results of this study can be suggested to further researchers to conduct further research on the formation of verbs from the origin of different word classes such as adverb or noun.
