Abstract

Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan hakikat sains dinilai memiliki pengaruh yang cukup besar dalam memahami sains dan memecahkan fenomena dalam sains. Penelitian ini menjelaskan bagaimana peran pendekatan komplementer (kasus sejarah, kasus kontemporer, dan inkuiri) terhadap kemunculan aspek hakikat sains pada siswa dalam materi Sistem Reproduksi khususnya dalam kasus penyakit Toksoplasma. Sehingga diketahui bagaimana pandangan siswa terhadap hakikat sains itu sendiri. Aspek hakikat sains yang dilihat ialah Observations and Reasoning, Methods of Investigation, Experimental Practice, Culture, Collaboration dan Communications and Transmission of Knowledge.Metode yang digunakan ialah metode deskriptif. Pengambilan data bersumber dari hasil jawaban 25 orang siswa kelas XI MIA 2 di SMA Negeri 7 Bandung semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017 pada setiap pertanyaan dalam soal tes pada setiap pendekatan komplementer. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan pendekatan komplementer, semua aspek hakikat sains dapat muncul sehingga terlihat bagaimana pandangan siswa terhadap hakikat sains itu sendiri, Kata kunci: hakikat sains, pendekatan komplementer, kasus sejarah, kasus kontemporer, inkuiri, penyakit toksoplasma,  Learning by using the nature of science is considered to have good influence in understanding science and solving phenomena in science. This research explains how the role of complementary approaches (historical case, contemporary case, and inquiry) to the emergence of aspects of the nature of science in students in reproductive system especially in cases of toxoplasma disease. So it is known how students view the nature of science itself. Aspects of the nature of science are Observations and Reasoning, Methods of Investigation, Experimental Practice, Culture, Collaboration and Communications and Transmission of Knowledge. The method used is descriptive method. The data collected from the result of answer 25 students of class XI MIA 2 in SMA Negeri 7 Bandung second term of academic year 2016/2017 on each question in the test of complementary approach. The results of this study indicate that by using a complementary approach, all aspects of the nature of science can emerge so it looks how students view the nature of science itself.
