Abstract
Pendidikan inklusif mengakomodasi setiap anak untuk belajar bersama tanpa melihat perbedaan. Salah satu sekolah yang telah menjalankan pendidikan inklusif yakni SD Negeri Patrol 1 dimana terdapat tiga anak tunarungu yang bersekolah di sana yang terdiri dari dua anak kelas enam dan satu anak kelas tiga. Ketiganya masih berusia dini dan telah berada di lingkungan sosial yang mayoritas dapat mendengar. Penelitian ini dilakukanuntuk mengetahui bagaimana peserta didik tunarungu tersebut melakukan interaksi sosial di lingkungan sekolahnya yang berbasis inklusif dengan kemampuan serta kebutuhan khusus mereka. Tujuan lebih khususnya ialah menjabarkan hal-hal yang berkenaan dengan hubungan interaksi sosial peserta didik tunarungu di sekolah tersebut dilihat dari dua aspek, yakni kontak sosial dan komunikasi, masalah-masalah yang timbul berkenaan interaksi sosial, dan upaya pihak sekolah untuk mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif . Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa ketiga subyek memiliki kemampuan interaksi sosial yang berbeda-beda dikarenakan kemampuan bahasa yang berbeda-beda pula. Masalah yang muncul adalah adanya perbedaan kemampuan setiap anak, kecenderungan mereka dalam berteman, adanya beberapa peserta didik dengan hambatan kecerdasan yang mengikuti gaya komunikasi tunarungu dengan ujaran tanpa suara, serta program khusus bagi ketiganya yang masih menitikberatkan pada aspek akademik. Upaya dilakukan pihak sekolah dengan menyiapkan layanan khusus bagi ketiganya dan menempatkan meraka bersama peserta didik umumnya di kelas reguler serta pada beberapa kegiatan lain. Penelitian ini secara umum memberikan gambaran interaksi sosial peserta didik tunarungu di lingkungan sekolah inklusif, sehingga dapat digunakan tenaga pendidik dan pihak sekolah dalam mengembangkan kemampuan interaksi sosial tunarungu yang ada di sekolah inklusif. One school that has run an inclusive education is SD Negeri Patrol 1 which there are three deaf children who attend school consisting of two sixth graders and one third grader. All three are still in their early ages and have been in a social environment that the majority can hear. This study was conducted to find out how the deaf students are doing social interaction in their inclusive school-based environment with their special abilities and needs. The more specific objective is to describe matters relating to the social interaction relationship of students with hearing impairment in the school in terms of two aspects, namely social contact and communication, the problems that arise with regard to social interaction, and the efforts of the school to overcome them. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive method. The findings show that the three subjects have different social interaction skills due to different language abilities. Problems that arise are the differences in the ability of each child, their tendency in making friends, there are some learners with intelligence barriers that follow the style of deaf communication with speech without sound, as well as special programs for the three who still focus on the academic aspect. Efforts are made by the school by setting up special services for all three and put them together with general students in regular classes as well as on some other activities. This study generally provides an overview of the social interactions of students with hearing impairment in an inclusive school environment, so that can be used by the educators and school staff to help deaf students develop their social interaction skills in inclusive schools.
