Abstract

Implementasi pembelajaran praktikum mata kuliah analisis pangan pada materi analisis kadar air dan analisis kadar abu di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknologi Agroindustri masih menghadapi permasalahan. Ketersediaan ruang dan alat di laboratorium tidak sebanding dengan jumlah mahasiswa. Optimalisasi pembelajaran di laboratorium dapat dilakukan dengan mengembangan media pembelajaran sebagai sarana belajar mandiri mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan laboratorium virtual agroindustri berbasis website sebagai salah satu alternatif media pembelajaran pada materi analisis kadar air dan analisis kadar abu pada mata kuliah analisis pangan. Pengembangan labortatorium virtual agroindustri pada penelitian ini mengacu pada model penelitian pengembangan Borg & Gall yang diadaptasi oleh Sugiyono. Tahapan penelitian ini adalah analisis kebutuhan produk terdiri dari analisis potensi dan masalah serta pengumpulan data awal yang dibutuhkan, pengembangan produk awal, validasi ahli, uji coba skala terbatas, revisi produk 1, uji coba skala luas, revisi produk 2 dan produk akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penilaian ahli terhadap laboratorium virtual agroindustri yang dikembangkan dilihat dari aspek rekayasa perangkat lunak, komunikasi visual, relevansi materi, kecukupan manfaat dan penggunaan bahasa adalah layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Hasil penilaian uji skala terbatas dan uji skala luas menunjukan bahwa mahasiswa sangat setuju dengan pengembangan laboratorium virtual agroindustri. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, laboratorium virtual agroindustri berbasis website layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi analisis kadar air dan analisis kadar abu mata kuliah analisis pangan. Availability of rooms and instruments is not equal with number of students. Optimizing learning at laboratory can be conducted by developing learning media as students learning facilities. This study aims at developing virtual laboratory of agroindustry based on website as one of alternative learning media on moisture content analysis and ash content analysis on food analysis course. The development of virtual laboratory of agroindustry on this study focused on research and development model Borg & Gall adapted by Sugiyono. The sequences of this study were analysis of product needs consisted of analysis of potencies and problems as well as collecting initial data needed, developing initial products, validating expert, examining limited scale, revising product 1, examining large scale, revising product 2 and last product. This study shows that experts’ judgements towards virtual laboratory of developed agroindustry observed from aspect of software engineering, visual communication, material relevance, adequacy of benefit and use of language are worthy to be utilized as learning media. The results of examining limited scale and large scale show that students agreed with the development of virtual laboratory of agroindustry. According to the results, virtual laboratory of agroindustry based on website is worthy to be utilized as learning media on moisture content analysis and ash content analysis on food analysis course.
