Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari hasil pra penelitian yang dilakukan di kelas XI IPS 1 SMA YAS Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian masalah yang ditemukan adalah kurang berkembangnya civic dispostion peserta didik pada pembelajaran PKn. Hal ini disebabkan oleh model pembelajaran yang diterapkan guru kurang menekankan aspek afektif, oleh karena itu peneliti menggunakan model pembelajaran VCT yang mampu mengembangkan dan meningkatkan sifat afektual dan dapat memberikan pesan nilai moral yang baik ataupun buruk terhadap peserta didik metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Pelaksanaan model pembelajaran VCT mengalami tiga siklus. Setiap kelompok mendiskusikan dan mengklarifikasi pesan nilai-nilai moral yang terdapat di tayangan gambar. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa karakter kewarganegaraan (civic disposition) peserta didik mengalami perkembangan di setiap siklusnya setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran VCT (value clarification technique). Karakter kewarganegaraan peserta didik yang mengalami perkembangan adalah tanggung jawab, disiplin, berpikir kritis, kemandirian, sikap demokratis dan jujur. Berdasarkan pemaparan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahawa model pembelajaran VCT dalam pembelajaran PKn dapat mengembangkan civic disposition peserta didik.;---The research is motivated by the result of pre-research conducted in class XI IPS 1 of SMA YAS Bandung. Based on the result of pre-research, the problem found is the lack of progress on students' civic disposition in learning Civic Education. It is caused by the learning model applied by teachers which does not give much attention to the affective aspects. Therefore, the researcher uses VCT learning model that can develop and enhance the affective characters and give both good and bad moral values to students. The method used is classroom action research. The data collection techniques employed for the research are interview, observation, and documentation. The implementation of the VCT learning model has three cycles. Each group discusses and clarifies messages or moral values contained in the pictures shown to the students. The result of the research reveals that the civic disposition of students develops in each cycle after the VCT learning model (Value Clarification Technique) has been implemented. The civic disposition of students that experiences improvement consists of responsibility, discipline, critical thinking, independence, democratic and honest attitudes. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the VCT learning model in Civics learning can enhance students' civic disposition.
