Abstract

Secara sosiologis, keberadaan ABK sangat tergantung pada proses sosialisasi yang diajarkan oleh agen sosialisasi keluarga, terutama orang tua. Proses sosialisasi ABK pada lingkungan keluarga sangat berpengaruh terhadap kecakapan dan penyesuaian sosialnya. Tujuan penelitian, untuk mengetahui proses sosialisasi ABK pada lingkungan keluarga, peran agen sosialisasi lainnya dan dampak proses sosialisasi ABK pada lingkungan keluarga untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berinteraksi sosialnya dengan fokus penelitian di Kabupaten Sukabumi. Metode yang digunakan studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian yakni informan kunci (keluarga/orang tua) dan informan pendukung (Kepala sekolah, Guru, Dokter/Terafis). Hasil penelitian, (1) proses sosialisasi ABK pada lingkungan keluarga dapat ditinjau dari tiga tahap, yakni penyesuaian sosial, penerimaan sosial dan keterampilan sosial, (2) peran agen sosialisasi lain di antaranya, sekolah (memberikan pengetahuan, pembiasaan sikap sosial dan mendorong motivasi sosial), teman sebaya (bertindak sebagai reinforce, role model dan instruktur dalam sosialisasi) dan kelompok bermain (membentuk pola perilaku sosial, pembiasaan nilai kultural dan partisipasi peran dan fungsi sosial), (3) dampak sosialisasi ABK pada lingkungan keluarga dalam perspektif interaksionisme simbolik dapat ditinjau dari tiga kerangka utama, yakni mind, self dan society. Pada kerangka pikiran, dampak personal berkaitan dengan impuls/rangsangan yang mampu dipahami ABK untuk peningkatan kemampuan berinteraksinya. Dampak sosial berkaitan dengan persepsi masyarakat dalam menerima keberadaan ABK di lingkungannya. Pada kerangka diri, dampak personalnya berkaitan dengan pola tindakan ABK yang mulai menyesuaikan dan diterima di lingkungan sosialnya. Dampak sosialnya berkaitan dengan pemaknaan ABK terhadap simbol-simbol yang mengandung makna nilai dan norma sosial yang berlaku. Pada kerangka masyarakat, dampak personalnya berkaitan dengan pembiasaan pola perilaku yang diajarkan di lingkungan keluarga pada lingkungan sosial yang lebih luas. Dampak sosialnya, berkaitan dengan pemahaman ABK akan peran dan fungsi sosial di lingkungannya dimana pemahaman tersebut didapatkan melalui proses komunikasi simbolik dengan agen sosialisasi di lingkungannya. Rekomendasi yang diajukan adalah peran aktif dan partisipatif dari seluruh elemen masyarakat agar ABK dapat berinteraksi dan bersosialisasi di lingkungannya sebagaimana mestinya. ;---Sociologically, the existence of children with special needs is highly depends on the socialization process which is taught by family socialization agents, especially parents.The socialization process of children with special needs in the family environment is very influential on skills and social adjustment. The purpose of the research were to find out the socialization process of children with special needs in the family environment, the role of other socializing agents and the impact of socialization process of children with special needs in their families to improve their social interaction with the focus of the research was in Sukabumi. The method that the researcher used was qualitative case study approach. The research subjectwere the primary informants (families/parents, principals and teachers) and the secondary informants (principals, teachers, docter/terafis). The results of the researchwere (1) the process of socialization of the children with special needs in the family environment could be evaluated from three stages,there were social adjustment, social acceptance and social skills, (2) the role of other socialization agentssuch as schools (giving knowledge, habituation social attitudes and encourage social motivation ), peers (acting as reinforcement, role models and instructors in the socialization process), and group play (forming patterns of social behavior, habituation, fosteringthe cultural values, roleparticipation and social function), (3) the impact of socialization process of children with special needs in their families and in the perspective of symbolic interactionism could beviewed of three main frameworks, such asmind, self, and society. In the frame of mind, personal impact associated with impulse / stimulation that could be understood by children with special needs in improving their interaction skill. Its social impacts related to the perception of society in accepting the existence of children with special needs in their environtment. In the frame of self, personal impact associated with the action pattern of children with special needs begin adjusting, so that they could be accepted in their social environment. Its social impacts associated with children with special need's comprehension about the symbolswhich implies values and social norms that is applied. In the frameof society, the personal impact associated with habituation patterns of behavior that was taught by family in the larger social environment. Its social consequencewas concerned with their understanding about social roles and function in environments where where the understanding is obtained through a process of symbolic communication with agents of socialization in the environment. The researcher's recommendation is that all elements of societyshould be active and partisipative so that childrenwith special needs can interact and socialize in the society environtment as it should be.
