    Abstract

    Pendekatan Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) merupakan pendekatan
    pembelajaran yang melatihkan keterampilan-keterampilan dasar yang
    diperlukan untuk menemukan atau mengembangkan pengetahuan. Penelitian
    ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perkembangan keterampilan proses
    sains dan peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa setelah diterapkannya
    pendekatan keterampilan proses sains dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian
    menggunakan one group pretest posttest design. Instrumen tes yang
    digunakan adalah Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), tes penguasaan konsep
    dengan bentuk soal uraian, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pendekatan
    KPS. Instrumen diberikan kepada 32 siswa di salah satu SMA Negeri di
    Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan
    keterampilan proses sains dapat mengembangkan keterampilan proses sains
    siswa dan meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa dalam kategori sedang.----------Science process skills approach is an approach to learning that exercise
    the basic skills needed to find or develop the knowledge. This research
    aims to identify the development of science process skills and increased
    students’ concepts mastery after implementing the science process skills
    approach. Research using one group pretest posttest design. The
    instrument that used is the student worksheet, concept mastery test, and
    the observation sheet to look at implementation science process skills
    approach in the learning. The instrument was given to 32 students in one
    of senior high scholl in Bandung. The results showed that the
    implementation the science process skills approach can develop the
    sciene process skills of students and enhance students’ concepts mastery
    in medium category.
