Abstract

Buku teks merupakan salah satu jenis bahan ajar yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kualitas pembelajaran. Fakta di lapangan banyak ditemukan permasalahan terkait isi buku teks. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan buku teks kimia SMA/MA kelas XII yang sebagian besar digunakan di Kota Bandung, pada materi sifat koligatif larutan berdasarkan kriteria tahap seleksi metode 4S TMD. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian evaluatif dengan metode analisis konten. Terdapat tiga kriteria pada tahap seleksi, yaitu 1) kesesuaian materi dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2) kebenaran konsep 3) penanaman nilai-nilai. Berdasarkan kriteria pertama, diketahui bahwa objek penelitian belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2013. Ditinjau dari keluasan materi, terdapat tiga konsep yang tidak dituntut oleh kurikulum, tetapi dimuat oleh materi sehingga materi terlalu luas. Dengan demikian, secara umum keluasan materi belum sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2013. Ditinjau dari kedalaman konsep, dari 24 konsep tuntutan kurikulum, tiga konsep dinyatakan kurang dalam dan dua konsep dinyatakan terlalu dalam. Berdasarkan kriteria kedua, diketahui bahwa terdapat satu konsep yang belum benar secara keilmuan menurut referensi buku-buku teks kimia umum internasional. Berdasarkan kriteria ketiga, diketahui bahwa nilai-nilai yang ditanamkan pada materi ialah religius, jujur, disiplin, kerja keras, rasa ingin tahu, menghargai prestasi, dan gemar membaca.;---Textbook is one kind of teaching materials which is the most influential in determining a quality of teaching. The facts indicate that many problems are discovered to involve the issue of the content of textbooks. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine properness of colligative properties in high school chemistry textbooks class XII, which is predominantly used by students in Bandung based on criteria of selection process of 4S TMD method. The type of research is evaluative research by content analysis method. There are three criteria in the selection process ‎of the 4S TMD, i.e. 1) conformity of the material with the demands of curriculum 2) concepts validity 3) inculcation of values. Based on first criterion, it is known that object of research is not yet fully in accordance with the demands of the Kurikulum 2013. In terms of the material broadness, there are three concepts that are not required by the curriculum, but included in the material, so that the material is too broad. Thus, in general, the material broadness is not a accordance with the demands of the Kurikulum 2013. Meanwhile, in terms of concepts depth, from 24 concepts demanded by the curriculum, three concepts are less deep and two concepts are too deep. Based on second criterion, it is known that one concept invalid scientifically according to international general chemistry textbooks. Based on third criterion, it is known that values inculcated in the material are religious, honest, disciplined, hard worked, curious, achievement appreciative, and reading-interested.
