Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri dan model pembelajaran langsung terhadap kemampuan bermain bulutangkis dalam permainan bulutangkis di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 2 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain pretest-postest control group desain yang dilakukan pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 2 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X, sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 40 orang siswa yang diambil melalui teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrument tes Game Performance Assesment Instrument dan kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata (independent sampel t test dan paired samples t test). Hasil analisis paired samples t tes terbukti bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri dan model pembelajaran langsung dapat meningkatkan kemampuan bermain bulutangkis siswa. Sementara untuk hasil analisis independent sampel t tes, terbukti model pembelajaran inkuiri dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kemampuan bermain bulutangkis lebih tinggi dan signifikan daripada model pembelajaran langsung. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar kelompok inkuiri dapat berpengaruh secara signifikan daripada kelompok langsung terhadap kemampuan bermain bulutangkis di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 2 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Kata-kata kunci : Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri, Model Pembelajaran Langsung, Bulutangkis The purpose of this research is to examine the effect inquiry learning model and direct learning model toward to capability of badminton in badminton game at the South Tangerang 2 Senior High School. The research used an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design which took Tangerang Selatan 2 Senior High School students as research samples. The population in this research were all students of grade X, while 40 students were taken as samples used simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using Game performance Assestment Test Instrument and then analyzed using difference of two average test (independent sampel t test dan paired samples t test). The results of the analysis of paired samples t test proved that the inquiry and direct instruction can improve the ability of students to play badminton. As for the result of independent sample t test, has proved that inquiry model can improve the ability to master the badminton game higher and more significant than direct instruction model.
