Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun bahan ajar Fisika SMP yang memuat keseimbangan literasi sains dalam konteks Personal Technology. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains siswa Indonesia dalam penilaian yang dilakukan PISA. Dengan tersusunnya bahan ajar ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa Indonesia khususnya di Kota Bandung, terutama dalam konteks Personal Technology. Bahan ajar ini dirancang dalam empat bab yang setiap babnya memuat ciri-ciri dari aspek literasi sains yaitu pengetahuan sains, penyelidikan hakikat sains, sains sebagai cara berpikir, serta interaksi sains, teknologi dan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development dengan model 3-D yaitu define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), dan develop (pengembangan). Data diperoleh dengan melakukan penyebaran tes kemampuan literasi sains, angket penggunaan bahan ajar di sekolah, soal uji rumpang (cloze procedure) bahan ajar, dan angket keterbacaan bahan ajar pada siswa SMP kelas VIII. Dari hasil uji rumpang bahan ajar menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang disusun sudah memiliki keterbacaan yang tinggi dengan persentase keterbacaan mencapai 71,87%. Selain hasil uji rumpang, bahan ajar divalidasi oleh ketiga pakar. Dan hasil validasi oleh ketiga pakar menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar sudah sesuai dengan aspek-aspek literasi sains dan dikategorikan sebagai bahan ajar yang baik yang memiliki keterbacaan tinggi dan layak disebarkan ke sekolah.;--- This study aimed to make learning materials Physics for Junior High School students with a balance of scientific literacy in Personal Technology context. The background of this study is the lack of scientific literacy ability of Indonesian students in the PISA assessment. This learning materials is expected to improve scientific literacy of students in Indonesia, especially on Personal Technology context in Bandung. The learning material was designed in four chapters with each chapter contained the characteristics of scientific literacy aspects, they are: the knowledge of science, science as a way of investigate, science as a way of thinking, and also interaction of science, technology and society. The preferred method in this research was Research and Development with 3-D models that define, design, and develop. Data obtained by distributing a scientific literacy tests, two questionnaires, a cloze procedure test of learning materials, and it gave to second grade students of Junior High School. From the cloze procedure test results, it indicate that the learning materials already have high readability with the percentage reached 71.87%. In addition, the learning materials has been validated by a third expert. And the results of validation by three experts indicate that the learning materials are in accordance with aspects of science literacy and categorized as a good learning materials that have high readability and it proper to distributed in schools.
