Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh Pendekatan Sains Teknologi Masyarakat (STM) Sebagai salah satu model pembelajaran yang berpengaruh terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan siswa. Rumusan Masalah adalah: (1) Apakah terdapat perbedaan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan pendekatan STM pada kelas eksperimen. (2) Apakah terdapat perbedaan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa sebelum dan sesudah tanpa menggunakan Pendekatan STM pada kelas kontrol. (3) Apakah terdapat perbedaan antara sikap peduli lingkungan siswa kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan STM dan kelas kontrol yang tidak menggunakan Pendekatan STM. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui perbedaan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan Pendekatan STM, Metode penelitian adalah metode Quasi Eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. variabel penelitian yaitu pendekatan Sains Teknologi Masyarakat sebagai variabel bebas dan Sikap Peduli Lingkungan sebagai variabel terpengaruh. Subjek eksperimen adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik, yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Sikap peduli lingkungan siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan Pendekatan Sains Teknologi Masyarakat (STM) cukup memuaskan dan mengalami perbedaan yang cukup besar dengan rata-rata Pretest adalah 54.923, dan nilai Posttest rata-rata adalah 81.461. (2) kelas kontrol diperoleh rata-rata Pretest adalah 61.037. Sedangkan Posttest pada kelas kontrol diperoleh rata-rata adalah 63.555. (3) Tidak terdapat perbedaan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa yang signifikan pada kelas ekperimen dan kelas kontrol, tetapi secara data statistik nilai rata-rata gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada gain kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata pada gain kelas eksperimen 23.5 sedangkan rata-rata pada gain kelas kontrol 22.6. dengan demikian maka Pendekatan Sains Teknologi Masyarakat (STM) berpengaruh terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan siswa pada mata pelajaran geografi materi pokok lingkungan hidup dan lingkungan hidup sebagai sumberdaya.;--- This research is motivated by the approach of Science Technology Society (STM) As one model of learning that influence students' attitudes environmental care. Problem formulation is: (1) Is there a difference environmentally conscious attitude of students before and after using the STM approach the experimental class. (2) Is there a difference environmentally conscious attitude of students before and after without using the STM approach to the control class. (3) Is there a difference between the attitude of environmental care experimental class students using STM and control class that does not use the STM approach. The aim of research to determine differences in environmental care attitude of students before and after using the STM approach, method is the method Quasi Experiment with design Nonequivalent Control Group Design.variable approach to research that Society Science Technology as an independent variable and Attitude Environmental Care as a variable affected. Subject experiment were students of class XI IPS 2 as an experimental class and class XI IPS 1 as the control class. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Using statistical data analysis techniques, namely normality test, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that: (1) The attitude of the students in the class environmental care experimental use Approach Science Technology Society (STM) was satisfactory and suffered a considerable difference to the average is 54.923 pretest and posttest score average was 81.461. (2) the control class gained an average pretest is 61.037. While posttest in control class gained an average is 63.555. (3) There is no difference in students' attitudes environmentally significant experimental class and control class, but on statistical data average value gain experimental class is higher than the gain of the control class. The average value of the gain experimental class 23.5, while the average gain control class 22.6. thus the approach of Science Technology Society (STM) affect the attitude of environmentally conscious students on the subjects of geography subject matter of the environment and the environment as a resource.
