Abstract

Kesenian songah adalah kesenian yang bahan instrumennya terbuat dari bambu sehingga komposisi ini sangat menarik dari segi warna dan komposisi lagu atau komposisi dari ritmiknya. Alasan peneliti mengangkat tentang kesenian songah ini karena kesenian ini belum terlalu banyak dikaji selain itu peneliti juga berusaha untuk memperkenalkan lebih luas tentang kesenian songah melalui hasil penelitian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fungsi dan cara memainkan masing-masing instrumen pada musik songah dan struktur komposisi musik songah pada lagu sabilulungan. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari Ketua Songah, Anggota Songah, dan Masyarakat Desa Citengah. Teknik pengolahan dan analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Temuan penelitian mendeskripsikan bahwa kesenian songah memiliki enam instrumen bunyi yang terdiri dari songsong besar berfungsi sebagai goong, songsong kecil berfungsi sebagai ritme, hatong besar dan kecil berfungsi sebagai melodi, kokoprak berfungsi sebagai pengatur irama atau ritme, dan suling berfungsi sebagai melodi. Pada dasarnya hampir sebagian instrumen memiliki pola ritmis yang sama dan di ulang-ulang kecuali instrumen kokoprak.;--- Songah arts is the art of the instrument made of bamboo material so that the composition is very interesting in terms of the color and the composition of a song or composition of rhythmic. The reason researchers raised about this songah art because art is not too much of a review. In addition researchers also attempted to introduce a wider range of art songah throught the research result. This study aim to describe the function of eact instrument songah music and music composition on the song sabilulungan. Design research using qualitative descriptive method aproach. The technique of data collection through interviews, observation, and study the documentation. Participants research consist of the chairman of songah, a member of the songah, and the Citengah Village community. Processing techniques and data analysis through the reduction of the data, the presentation of data, verification, conclusion. Research finding described the art of songah has six sound instrument that consist of a songsong large as goong, songsong small as rhythmic, hatong large and small function as melodic, kokoprak as a regulator of beat or rhythmic, and suling as a melody. Basically most of the instrument have the same rhythmic pattern and in re-unless the instrument of kokoprak.
