Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi fenomena semakin meningkatnya pengaruh dan dampak negatif globalisasi yang mempengaruhi pikiran, sikap, perilaku, dan gaya hidup generasi muda pada masyarakat etnik Muna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengindentifikasi nilai-nilai pendidikan sosial budaya dan religi yang terdapat dalam tradisi budaya katoba (2) menelusuri proses keberlangsungan pewarisan dan fungsi nilai-nilai tradisi budaya katoba sebagai salah satu potensi kearifan lokal masyarakat etnik Muna (3) mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor pendukung atau keunggulan dan penghambat pelestarian nilai-nilai tradisi budaya katoba (4) mendeskripsikan proses pengintegrasian nilai-nilai pendidikan sosial budaya dan religi yang terdapat dalam tradisi budaya katoba terhadap pengembangan bahan pembelajaran IPS di Sekolah Dasar (SD). Secara metodologis penelitian ini menggunakan metode etnografi dengan pendekatan kualitatif model James P Spradley. Subjek penelitian ini adalah tokoh agama, tokoh adat Muna, tokoh masyarakat, budayawan, akademisi, pimpinan sekolah, guru-guru, murid-murid, dan orang tua murid. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara: telaah pustaka, observasi, studi dokumentasi dan wawancara mendalam serta analisis domain. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tradisi budaya katoba mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan sosial budaya dan religi yang menjadi pedoman dalam bersikap, bertindak, dan berperilaku bagi masyarakat etnik Muna. Sistem pewarisan nilai-nilai tradisi budaya katoba kepada generasi muda masih bersifat in-formal dan non-formal belum secara formal serta belum berfungsi secara optimal. Tradisi budaya katoba berfungsi sebagai kontrol sosial dan fungsi religius. Nilai-nilai ini seharusnya disosialisasikan dan diwariskan kepada generasi muda masyarakat etnik Muna. Terdapat perbedaan persepsi, pemahaman, dan keyakinan sebagian masyarakat etnik Muna yang mendukung dan menghambat eksistensi tradisi budaya katoba. Belum ada upaya serius dan langkah-langkah strategis dari pemerintah untuk melestarikan nilai-nilai pendidikan sosial budaya dan religi dalam tradisi budaya katoba melalui lembaga adat dan lembaga pendidikan. Pengintegrasian nilai-nilai pendidikan sosial budaya dan religi yang terdapat dalam tradisi budaya katoba terhadap pengembangan materi bahan pembelajaran IPS menjadi dasar pembentukan kepribadian bagi setiap generasi muda masyarakat etnik Muna, sehingga dapat membendung dan menyaring pengaruh serta dampak negatif budaya Barat. Pemasyarakatan dan sosialisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan sosial budaya dan religi yang terdapat dalam tradisi budaya katoba perlu terus dikembangkan guna menambah kecintaan masyarakat akan kekayaan budayanya. Nilai-nilai tradisi budaya katoba harus didokumentasikan dan dilembagakan agar tidak hilang dan punah ditelan zaman.;--- This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the increasing influence of the negative effects of globalization that affects thoughts, attitudes, behaviors, and life style of young generation in ethnic communities of Muna. This study aims to (1) identify the values of social, cultural and religious education contained in katoba cultural traditions (2) explore the sustainability of inheritance and function values katoba cultural tradition as one of the potential of indigenous ethnic communities Muna (3) describe factors supporting or inhibiting excellence and the preservation of cultural traditions values katoba (4) describes the process of integrating the values of social, cultural and religious education contained in katoba cultural traditions to the development of learning materials in the IPS Elementary School. In this methodological study using ethnographic methods with qualitative approach models James P. Spradley. The subjects were religious leaders, traditional leaders of Muna, community leaders, activists, academics, school leaders, teachers, students, and parents. Data was collected by means of: literature review, observation, documentation studies and in-depth interviews and domain analysis. This study concludes that cultural traditions katoba contains the values of social, cultural and religious education that guide in acting, act, and behave for Muna ethnic communities. Inheritance system values katoba cultural traditions to the younger generation is still informal and non-formal, and has not yet been formally functioning optimally. Katoba cultural traditions serve as social control and religious functions. These values should be promoted and passed on to the younger generation of ethnic communities Muna. There are differences in perception, understanding, and beliefs of some ethnic communities that support and hinder Muna existence katoba cultural traditions. There has been no serious effort and strategic moves of the government to preserve the value of education in the socio-cultural and religious traditions katoba culture through traditional institutions and educational institutions. Integrating the values of social, cultural and religious education contained in katoba cultural traditions to the development of learning materials IPS material became the basis for the formation of the personality of every young generation Muna ethnic communities, so as to stem and filter out negative influences and the impact of Western culture. Corrections and socialization values of social, cultural and religious education contained in katoba cultural traditions need to be developed in order to increase the public will love its cultural wealth. Values katoba cultural traditions must be documented in order not to be lost and as the time goes extinct.
