Abstract

Disertasi ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang Pengembangan Nilai Amanah Melalui Praktik Kerja Dunia Usaha di SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak dengan melibatkan Kepala Sekolah, Wakasek bidang Kurikulum, Wakasek bidang Kesiswaan, Staf Tata Usaha, empat Ketua Program Keahlian, delapan siswa sebagai sampel, empat guru Pembimbing dan dua Instruktur atau Pembimbing dari Dunia Usaha. Masalah pokok yang menjadi kajian dalam disertasi ini adalah Bagaimanakah pengembangan nilai amanah melalui praktik kerja Dunia Usaha? Teori yang digunakan adalah sifat kepribadian amanah menurut Noor (2011: 168) yang menjelaskan berprinsip atau teguh pendirian, akurat, transparan, dapat diandalkan, analitis, tepat waktu dan faktual. Secara rinci masalah pokok penelitian dijabarkan dalam bentuk pertanyaan penelitian sebagai berikut: 1) Apakah visi dan misi SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak bermuatan pengembangan nilai amanah pada praktik kerja Dunia Usaha? 2) Bagaimanakah pelaksanaan pengembangan nilai amanah ketika para siswa belajar di SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak sebelum mereka melaksanakan praktik kerja Dunia Usaha? 3) Bagaimanakah pelaksanaan pengembangan nilai amanah ketika para siswa praktik kerja di Dunia Usaha? 4) Bagaimanakah pelaksanaan evaluasi pengembangan nilai amanah ketika para siswa belajar di SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak sebelum praktik kerja di Dunia Usaha? 5) Bagaimanakah pelaksanaan evaluasi pengembangan nilai amanah ketika para siswa praktik kerja di Dunia Usaha? Untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut, digunakan data tentang visi dan misi SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak bermuatan pengembangan nilai amanah, pelaksanaan pengembangan nilai amanah ketika para siswa belajar di SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak, pelaksanaan pengembangan nilai amanah ketika para siswa melaksanakan praktik kerja di Dunia Usaha, pelaksanaan evaluasi pengembangan nilai amanah ketika siswa belajar di SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak, dan pelaksanaan evaluasi pengembangan nilai amanah ketika para siswa praktik kerja di Dunia Usaha. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi dan analisis dokumen. Data dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) Visi dan misi SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak bermuatan pengembangan nilai amanah diaktualisasikan melalui habit (kebiasaan), yaitu pada misi keenam yang berbunyi “penataan lingkungan sekolah yang berbudaya, asri, nyaman dan menyenangkan”; 2) Pelaksanaan pengembangan nilai amanah pada saat siswa belajar di SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak sebelum melaksanakan praktik kerja Dunia Usaha yaitu siswa dibiasakan untuk merawat benda-benda milik pribadi dan merawat benda-benda milik umum, mengikuti kegiatan pesantren kilat dan kantin sekolah; 3) Pelaksanaan pengembangan nilai amanah saat siswa praktik kerja di dunia usaha yaitu siswa harus bertanggung jawab terhadap tugas selama proses praktik dengan melaksanakan kewajiban-kewajiban yang harus dilakukan siswa baik terhadap sekolah maupun perusahaan, dengan penekanan untuk selalu bersikap jujur dalam bekerja, disiplin, dapat bergaul dengan baik kepada siapa saja dan selalu bersikap sabar; 4) Pelaksanaan evaluasi pengembangan nilai amanah saat para siswa belajar di SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak sebelum melaksanakan praktik kerja yaitu melalui penilaian aspek kedisiplinan, kejujuran, kesopanan dan tanggung jawab pada saat siswa sedang melaksanakan aktivitas belajar; dan 5) Pelaksanaan evaluasi pengembangan nilai amanah pada saat siswa melaksanakan praktik kerja di Dunia Usaha yaitu dilihat dari aspek teknis dan non-teknis. Aspek teknis meliputi penguasaan keterampilan siswa, sementara aspek non-teknis melalui pengamatan sikap dan perilaku siswa selama praktik kerja ¬oleh Pembimbing dari sekolah dan Instruktur dari perusahaan. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan Nilai Amanah, Praktik Kerja Dunia Usaha. The dissertation presents research outcomes on Developing the Value of Reliability through Internship in the Business World in State Vocational High School 1 Kota Pontianak. The research was conducted in the aforementioned school by involving the Principal, the Vice Principal for Curriculum Development, the Vice Principal for Student Affairs, Administrative Staffs, four Heads of Skills Program, eight students as sample, four supervising teachers, and two instructors or supervisors from the business world. The main issue of the dissertation is how the development of the value of reliability through internship in the business world is. The theory used as the foundation of the research is the characters of reliable personality by Noor (2011: 168), consisting of having principles or steadfast, accurate, transparent, dependable, analytical, punctual, and factual. More specifically, the issue of the research is elaborated into several research questions, namely: 1) Do the vision and missions of SMKN I Kota Pontianak contain the development of students’ reliability value in the internship in the business world?; 2) How is the conduct of the development of reliability value among students during their attendance at SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak, before they conduct internship in the business world?; 3) How is the conduct of the development of reliability value among students during their internship in the business world?; 4) How is the evaluation of the development of reliability value among students when they attend SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak, before they take their internship in the business world?; and 5) How is the evaluation of the development of reliability value among students during their internship in the business world? To answer the questions, the following data were used: The vision and missions of SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak that contain reliability value development, the conduct of the development of reliability value among students during their attendance at SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak, the conduct of reliability value development among students during their internship in the business world, the conduct of the evaluation of reliability value development among students during their attendance at SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak, and the conduct of the evaluation of reliability value development during students’ internship in the business world. The data were gained through observation, interview, and documentary analysis. The data were then analyzed descriptive-qualitatively. The results of the research showed the followings: (1) The vision and missions contain the development of reliability value as realized in habituation, namely in the sixth mission stating, “School environmental arrangement that is civilized, green, comfortable, and pleasant”; (2) The development of reliability value among students during their attendance at SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak and before they take internship in the business world has been conducted by habituating students to take care of their personal belongings, public property, and the school canteen; and joining short Islamic courses; (3) The development of reliability value during their internship in the business world has been realized by students taking responsibility for their tasks during internship by fulfilling their obligations both to their school and companies, emphasizing honesty in working, self-discipline, open-mindedness, and patience; (4) The evaluation of the development of reliability value among students during their attendance at SMKN 1 Kota Pontianak and before they take their internship has been focused on the assessment of the aspects of self-discipline, honesty, politeness and responsibility of students while studying; and (5) The evaluation of the development of reliability value among students during their internship in the business world has been concentrated on both the technical and non-technical aspects. The technical aspect includes students’ skill mastery, while the non-technical one covers students’ attitude and behavior during their internship as observed by Supervisors from the school and instructors from the company.
