Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh sulitnya siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) menerima pembelajaran yang bersifat konseptual pada mata pelajaran Jaringan Dasar sehingga dibutuhkannya media bantuan untuk memvisualkan materi tersebut dan dapat menambah ketertarikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian dengan menggunakan metode Research & Development ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun multimedia pembelajaran game dengan model Brain Based Learning (BBL), mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Jaringan Dasar materi model Open System Interconnection (OSI), serta mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap multimedia. Langkah – langkah penelitian terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan yang terdiri dari antarmuka multimedia, penerapan model pembelajaran Brain Based Learning yang terdiri dari tahapan pra-pemaparan, persiapan, inisiasi, elaborasi, inkubasi, pengecekan keyakinan, dan perayaan, serta menguji multimedia tersebut ke ahli materi dan ahli media, tahap implementasi yang mana multimedia ini diuji cobakan ke subjek penelitian disertai dengan pretest dan posttest, dan tahap penilaian. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) multimedia yang dibangun dinyatakan layak digunakan dengan presentase dari ahli media 77.2% dan ahli materi sebesar 88.75%, 2) penilaian siswa terhadap multimedia mendapatkan presentase sebesar 81.93%, 3) multimedia pembelajaran game dengan model BBL pada mata pelajaran Jaringan Dasar ini dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, hal ini dapat kita lihat dari rata- rata nilai kelompok atas dari 52 menjadi 79, kelompok tengah dari 50.78 menjadi 69.04, dan kelompok bawah dari 50.67 menjadi 70.67. Dengan demikian multimedia pembelajaran game yang dikembangkan layak untuk diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMK.;---This research was motivated by the difficulty of SMK students applying conceptual learning in the subjects Basic Network so it needs media help to visualize the material, and can add interest in the learning process. This research used Research & Development method which aims to design and develops learning multimedia game with the Brain Based Learning model (BBL), knowing how to increase student learning outcomes in subjects Network Basic of Open Systems Interconnection (OSI), as well as determine the response of students to multimedia. Steps of this research consists of five stages: analysis, design, development consisting of a multimedia interface, application of learning models Brain Based Learning composed from a pre-exposure, preparation, initiation, elaboration, incubation, checking beliefs and celebrations, as well as test the multimedia to subject matter experts and media specialists, multimedia implementation phase which is tested to the subject of the study is accompanied by pretest and posttest, and assessment phase. The results of this research are: 1) multimedia built declared fit for use with the percentage of media experts 77.2% and subject matter experts by 88.75%, 2) an assessment of students' multimedia earn a percentage of 81.93%, 3) multimedia learning games with the model BBL on subjects Basic network can improve student learning outcomes, it can be seen from the average value of the top group of 52 to 79, the middle group of 50.78 into 69.04, down from 50.67, and the group became 70.67. Thus learning multimedia game developed feasible to be implemented in the learning process and can improve SMK’s student learning outcomes.
