Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan learning log untuk siswa SMP pada pembelajaran pemanasan global dengan metode demonstrasi berbasis Predict-Observe-Explain. Proses pengembangan learning log dimulai dari menyusun learning log, uji coba untuk mendapatkan data perbaikan, dan diperoleh perangkat asesmen otentik yang lebih baik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan deskriptif. Dua kelas dipilih secara cluster random sampling dari salah satu SMP negeri di Kota Bandung dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penugasan pengisian asesmen otentik, observasi yang dituangkan dalam catatan lapangan dan wawancara. Instrumen yang diteliti berupa task dan rubrik learning log. Sementara instrumen penelitian terdiri dari pedoman wawancara untuk siswa, pedoman wawancara untuk guru, catatan lapangan, dan rubrik penilaian efektivitas asesmen otentik. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan pertanyaan pada task masih perlu diperbaiki dari segi redaksi kalimat dan konten, rubrik tahap uji coba mengalami pengembangan berdasarkan jawaban siswa, serta efektivitas asesmen otentik tahap uji coba (45%) tergolong cukup baik. Hasil penerapan menunjukkan asesmen otentik yang dikembangkan sudah dapat mengukur kemampuan POE siswa. Pertanyaan pada task dan rubrik yang dikembangkan cukup baik. Efektivitas asesmen otentik (85%) tergolong sangat baik. Tanggapan siswa dan guru mengenai asesmen otentik yang dikembangkan positif.;---This study aims to describe the development of learning log for junior high school students on global warming with demonstration based on Predict-Observe-Explain. The development process started from the preparation of learning log, test trial to obtain the data to be repaired, and obtained learning log tools more better. The method used is descriptive method. Two classes in one of junior high school in Bandung is selected by cluster random sampling. Data collected through the assignment of learning log, field notes through observation and interviews. The instruments examined in this study is learning log’ task and rubric. While research instruments consisted of student’s and teacher’s interviews guides, field notes, and rubric for assessment authentic’s effectiveness. The trial showed that questions in task still need to be improved in terms of the sentence and the editorial content, rubrics for learning log developed based on the responses of the students, meanwhile the effectiveness of authentic assessment test phase is (45%) quite good. The results of the application authentic assessment can measure students' POE. Questions on the task and the rubric developed pretty good. Effectiveness of authentic assessment in application phase is (85%) very good. The response of students and teacher about authentic assessment developed positively.
