Abstract

Di kota-kota besar anak tumbuh dalam lingkungan yang sangat akrab dengan pencemaran. Kondisi lingkungan yang sudah banyak tercemar menjadi suatu hal yang biasa anak-anak lihat. Sedangkan dipedesaan anak tumbuh dalam lingkungan yang bersih nyaman dan masih banyak pemandangan hijau dengan udara yang bersih dan segar. Kondisi lingkungan tempat tinggal yang berbeda akan mempengaruhi tingkat kepedulian mereka terhadap lingkungannya.. Melihat fenomena tersebut, penulis tertarik untuk membuat sebuah permainan edukatif tentang lingkungan hidup.Permainan edukatif ini merupakan pengembangan dari permainan ular tangga. Dengan merubah sistem permainan dan menambahkan konten baru tentang lingkungan hidup. Permainan ini menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dalam proses permainannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen. Yaitu dengan melakukan penelitian pada satu sampel siswa di sekolah dasar yang berjumlah 33 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa angket dan kartu soal. Dari hasil analisis menunjukan dua buah temuan penting yaitu: 1) 86,36% siswa menuju pada kepedulian lingkungan 2) 45,52% siswa memahami konsep lingkungan dengan tingkat pemahaman baik sekali, 48,58% siswa memahami konsep dengan tingkat pemahaman baik dan 5,09% siswa memahami konsep lingkungan dengan tingkat pemahaman kurang.Media ular tangga eco green hero dengan pendekatan saintifik dalam penelitian ini mampu mendeskripsikan tingkat kepedulian lingkungan siswa dan pemahaman konsep lingkungannya. --- The study, entitled environmental concern and understanding of elementary school students through a scientific approach using the ladder snake media aims to analyze the environmental awareness and understanding of the concept of the neighborhood elementary school students through a scientific approach using the media snake. Environmental concern hold on six principles of environmental ethics.Namely,(1)respect for nature,(2)he responsibility towards nature,(3)solidarity towards nature(4)care about the nature,(5)does not damage,(6)live simply and in harmony with nature.Six prisnsip the environment ethics guidelines in making the question form. In revealing the environmental awareness of students and understanding of their environment, scientific approach used by media-assisted snakes ladders. Scientific approaches are used to guide the game of snakes and ladders, to understand the content in the game snake. Scientific approach makes it easy for students to understand the concept of the environment. The concept of environment, students get in the game indirectly. Because in the game students must answer the questions that are available on the card reserved. Each card contains the concept of reserved environment consisting of material (1) ecosystems,(2)natural resources,(3) animals and rare plants, energy-efficient (4) (5),(6) natural damage (7) natural disasters. This research uses descriptive method with the data analysis techniques and quantitative approach. From the results of the analysis showed two important findings: 1) that 33 elementary school students towards environmental concern in 2) of 33 students, as many as 14 students understand the concept of environment with a good level of understanding once, as many as 16 students grasp the concept with a good level of understanding and as much as 5 students understand the concept of environment with less level of understanding.
