Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi temuan yang menunjukkan sebagian siswa kelas V di SDN. 12 Sungai Lareh kurang terampil dalam bermain drama dan cenderung memiliki rasa percaya diri yang rendah saat tampil di depan kelas. Hal ini disebabkan pembelajaran apresiasi drama selama ini masih dalam bentuk percakapan monoton yang terfokus pada buku teks , dan kurangnya kesempatan siswa tampil di depan umum. Akibatnya siswa kurang kreatif dalam mengapresiasi drama. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh dan perbedaan kemampuan apresiasi drama siswa menggunakan teknik bermain drama melalui teater tradisional Randai berbasis kepercayaan diri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain prates-pascates. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan teknik bermain drama melalui teater tradisional Randai berbasis kepercayaan diri, sedangkan kelas kontrol melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan direct instruction. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas V di SDN. 12 dan SDN. 44 Sungai Lareh. Instrumen yang digunakan berbentuk tes performa yang dinilai setiap tahap apresiasi berakhir dan lembar observasi proses pembelajaran. Penilaian mencakup aspek-aspek pada empat tahap kemampuan apresiasi drama: (1) tahap menggemari, (2) tahap menikmati, (3) tahap mereaksi, dan (4) tahap produktif. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan software SPSS. 21dan Microsoft Excell 2007. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan teknik bermain drama melalui teater tradisional Randai berbasis kepercayaan diri terhadap kemampuan apresiasi drama. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil uji t yang menunjukkan kemampuan apresiasi drama siswa di kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan signifikan dibanding kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, teknik bermain drama melalui teater tradisional Randai sangat direkomendasikan untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran apresiasi drama di SD. --- This research has found to show that some of students 5th grade at SDN. 12 Sungai Lareh where they have less creativity during performance because some of them have low confidence on stage even in front of the class. The writer found that this case because method in teaching plays so far still monotonous like clumsy conversation based on text book as well. As a matter of fact, the students lose their creativity in showing their own idea during the plays performance which is focus on the text given. This research purpose to describe how the influence of plays technique trough traditional theatre “randai” based on students’ confidence towards their performance ability. The methode that used in this research is pre-post quasi experimental design. The class experiments use plays technique through traditional theatre “randai”, otherwise class control use direct instructions. The subject research of this study is students at 5th grade at SDN. 12 and SDN. 44 Sungai Lareh, Padang. Instrument used for this research is performance test evaluation to measure how do they applied the method given in four aspecs: 1. To reveal stage 2. To enjoy stage 3. To react stage and 4. To create stage. Data analyzed with SPSS software version 21 and MS. Excell 2007. The result has found a significant influence of plays technique used through traditional theatre “randai” based on students confidence towards their performance ability. It can seen from the test result showed that students ability in “randai” increase significantly compared to the control class. Based on this finding The Influence of of plays technique through traditional theatre “randai” based on students confidence towards their performance ability, recomended to applied as an alternative learning technique in elementary schools for plays performance.
