Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari temuan peneliti di kelas VIII-1 SMP Negeri 49 Bandung dimana pemahaman dan karaketer ecoliteracy siswa belum nampak, siswa kurang peduli terhadap kondisi lingkungan sekitarnya. Terlihat sampah kertas dan plastik berserakan di lantai sehingga membuat kelas menjadi kotor. Melihat permasalahan yang akan diteliti berkaitan dengan proses pembelajaran, maka peneliti memilih penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) model Lewin yang direvisi oleh Elliot dalam 3 siklus. Penggunaan project pohon kreativitas berbahan dasar barang bekas menjadi alternatif pemecahan masalah yang dipilih untuk meningkatkan ecoliteracy siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS, ini dikarenakan pembuatan project pohon kreativitas berbahan dasar barang bekas yang tepat digunakan untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan siswa dalam mengolah barang bekas dengan baik. selain itu pertimbangan memilih project pohon kreativitas ini karena dalam proses pembuatannya terdapat kegiatan-kegiatan yang dapat menumbuhkan ecoliteracy siswa. Dalam penumbuhan ecoliteracy siswa, peneliti memilih 5 indikator ecoliteracy. Setelah siswa melakukan kegaiatan pembuatan project pohon kreativitas, ecoliteracy siswa semakin nampak dan terus berkembang dalam setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus kesatu, ecoliteracy siswa dapat dikategorikan cukup. Setelah melakukan refleksi dan adanya perbaikan untuk mempersiapkan pembelajaran yang lebih matang, pada siklus kedua penelitian ini mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dan di kategorikan baik. Pada siklus ketiga, tindakan yang dilakukan mengalami peningkatan lagi, dan termasuk pada kategori baik . Dari penelitian tersebut, diperoleh hasil bahwa : 1) Perencanaan pembelajaran melalui pembuatan project pohon kreativitas untuk menumbuhkan ecoliteracy dapat berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan tujuan yang telah disusun. 2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS melalui pembuatan project pohon kreativitas dapat menumbuhkan ecoliteracy siswa dilakukan sebanyak 3 siklus, setiap siklusnya terdapat 3 tindakan. 3) Kendala dan solusi untuk mengatasi masalah dalam pembuatan project pohon kreatvitas untuk menumbuhkan ecoliteracy siswa dapat teratasi. 4)Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas melalui pembuatan project pohon kreativitas dapat menumbuhkan ecoliteracy siswa di kelas VIII-1 SMP Negeri 49 Bandung ;--- This study originated from the findings of researcher at VIII-1 class of SMP Negeri 49 Bandung where the character and comprehension of ecoliteracy student has not appeared, students are less concerned about the condition of the surrounding environment. Waste paper and plastic are scattered on the floor so that make the class becomes dirty. Seeing the problems to be studied with regard to the learning process, the researchers chose a classroom action research (PTK) of Lewin models which has been revised by Elliot in 3 cycles. The use tree creativity project made from scrap became the chosen alternative solutions to increase the ecoliteracy students in social studies learning, it is due to choose because the making of tree creativity project from scrap is appropriately used to cultivate students' skills in processing scrap well. besides considerations to choose this tree creativity project in the manufacturing process there are activities that can foster ecoliteracy students. In ecoliteracy growth of students, researchers chose five ecoliteracy indicators. Once students do the making of tree creativity project, ecoliteracy students and this trend continues to grow in each cycle. In the first cycle, ecoliteracy students can be categorized enough. After some reflection and improvement in more mature learning preparation, in the second cycle this study experienced a significant improvement and include in a good category. In the third cycle, the action taken improving again, and included in good category. From these studies, it can be concluded that: 1) Planning of learning through making tree creativity project to grow ecoliteracy can run well in accordance with the objectives that have been prepared. 2) Implementation of IPS learning through tree creativity project-making can grows students ecoliteracy performed in a total of three cycles, each cycle has three actions. 3) The problems and solutions that have been solved through tree creativity project-making to grow ecoliteracy of student 4) The results of a classroom action research through the creation of a tree creativity project can grow ecoliteracy of students in class VIII-1 SMP Negeri 49 Bandung.
