Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi keprihatinan terhadap kurangnya kepekaan nurani dan nilai moral anak seperti sikap sabar, tawakal, empati, menghargai dan jujur menjadi perilaku yang sulit ditemui. Sebagian anak cenderung menunjukkan sikap arogan, egois, permisif dan nepotisme. Selain itu, tindakan bullying semakin sering ditemui di sekolah-sekolah. Tujuan penelitian yaitu menguji keefektivan metode bermain peran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan empati anak usia dini. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen dan menggunakan desain nonequivalent groups pretes dan posttest. Penelitian dilakukan di sekolah TK Bhayangkari sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan TK Braga Bandung sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah proposive sampling. Instrumen dirumuskan berdasarkan kemampuan empati anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan empati pada kelompok eksperimen sesudah penerapan metode bermain peran. Peningkatan dari masing-masing subvariabel pada kelompok eksperimen seperti mendengarkan teman dan guru saat berbicara, menerima sudut pandang teman dan guru serta peka terhadap perasaan teman dan guru. Hasil penelitian direkomendasikan kepada 1) Kepala sekolah sebagai pemangku kebijakan, 2) Guru adalah pihak yang bertanggung jawab dalam memberikan segenap perhatiannya dalam tumbuh kembang anak dan 3) peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengembangkan pengungkapan profil kemampuan empati anak dengan cara berbeda.;---This research is occurred againts sympathy of the lack of conscience sensitivity and morality value, such patience, tawakal, empathy, appreciate, honestly, which become behavior that’s hard to be found. Some kids tend to show arrogance, egoism, overly candor and nepotism. Furthermore, the oppression behavior is prevalent to be found in schools. The goals of this research is to verify the playing method effectiveness as a role to increase early childhood’s empathy ability. This research used quantitative approach, they are experience methods and nonequivalent groups pretest and postes. This research was done in TK Bhayangkari, TK Braga Bandung as a experience group and controlling bunch. This research used proposive sampling. Instrumen is based on the children’s empathy ability. The result of this research showed empathy enhancement to the experience group after role playing method application. The increase of each experience group is able to listen to friends and teacher’s while speaking, able to accept friends and teacher’s point of view and able to considerate friends and theacher’s feeling. The result of this research is recommended to 1) principal, as the policy framer, 2) teacher, as the one who has responsibility to give the whole attention and 3) the following researcher , in order to develop this research in many kind of methods.
