Abstract

Metode magnetik dapat digunakan dalam mengidentifikasi struktur bawah permukaan dasar laut di perairan luwuk dengan melalui tahap akuisisi data, pemodelan dan interpretasi. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil akuisisi data adalah nilai anomali magnetik total. Data tersebut dikoreksi oleh nilai IGRF dan variasi harian sehingga menghasilkan nilai anomali magnetik. Anomali magnetik residual dan anomali magnetik Regional diperoleh dari metode pemisahan Trend Surface Analysis. Pola sebaran anomali magnetik ditampilkan melalui peta kontur anomali magnetik dan dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam pembuatan model. Melalui model tersebut, menggambarkan struktur geologi bawah permukaan dasar laut Perairan Luwuk yang tersusun dari batuan yang memiliki nilai suseptibilitas 0.0003, 0.03 dan 0.08. Jenis batuan tersebut diinterpretasikan sebagai batu gamping, granit dan basalt yang masing-masing membentuk suatu lapisan batuan dengan tebal dan kedalaman yang berbeda-beda. Pada lokasi penelitian ditemukan indikasi keberadaan sesar naik yang memiliki arah barat-daya menuju timur-laut dan barat menuju timur. Kata kunci : Perairan Luwuk, struktur geologi, anomali magnetik, suseptibilitas, sesar Magnetic methods has been conducted to identify subsurface structure of the seabed in Luwuk sea through the stages of data acquisition, modeling and interpretation. The data obtained from the data acquisition is the total value of the magnetic anomaly. The data was corrected by the value of IGRF and daily variations resulting value of the magnetic anomaly. Residual and regional magnetic anomalies were derived from the separation method of Trend Surface Analysis. The distribution pattern of magnetic anomalies shown magnetic anomaly contour map and served as a reference for modeling. By the result of the model, we can describe the geological structures under the seabed surface waters Luwuk composed of rock when it have a value of susceptibility 0.0003, 0.03 and 0.08. The value of suseptibility is refer to limestone, granite and basalt, each forming a sufficiently thick layer of rock at different depths. Indentification of reverse fault with has a south-west direction toward the northeast and west to east was found.
