Abstract

Motif rereng telah ada sejak dulu dan dijadikan sebagai salah satu motif batik Priangan. Motif ini hadir dalam berbagai variasi bentuk dan warna menjadikan motif ini memiliki keunikan dan keragaman. Dengan keunikan yang dimiliki, motif ini kini cukup mendapat respon dari masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu mengetahui motif batik rereng yang dihasilkan dan mengetahui ide gagasan serta visualisasi motif batik rereng yang dihasilkan Deden Batik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Lokasi penelitian adalah sentra kerajinan Deden Batik yang berlokasi di Jalan Ciroyom (Cigeureung) No.80 Kelurahan Nagarasari Kecamatan Cipedes Kota Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) Motif rereng yang dihasilkan oleh “Deden Batik” diantaranya motif rereng eneng, rereng orlet, rereng N, rereng S, rereng pare, rereng toge, rereng sintung, rereng dokter, rereng astrounot, rereng calung, rereng kujang, rereng sirit, rereng bunga, rereng seling bunga, rereng tusuk gigi, rereng useup, rereng bilik, rereng bilik seling calung; 2) Ide gagasan pembuatan motif batik rereng bersumber dari keadaan alam dan lingkungan Tatar Sunda baik flora dan faunanya, benda-benda di sekitar, serta berdasarkan pesanan atau permintaan konsumen; 3) Kajian visualnya mencakup titik, garis, bidang, warna, kesatuan, komposisi, keseimbangan, irama, kontras dan fokus perhatian. Titik yang muncul berupa cecek dan cecek pitu. Garis yang muncul berupa garis lengkung, garis lengkung bulatan, garis lurus, garis zigzag, garis meliuk-liuk, garis tegak melengkung. Raut bidang yang muncul yaitu raut bidang geometri, raut bidang organis, raut bidang gabungan, raut bidang bersudut bebas. Warna yang muncul warna analogous, monokromatik dan komplementer. Kesatuan, komposisi, keseimbangan, irama, kontras dan fokus perhatian yang muncul menghasilkan kesan yang menarik, simetris, seimbang menjadi satu kesatuan yang utuh. Kata Kunci: Motif Batik Rereng, Ide Gagasan. Rereng motif has been there from the past and serve as one of the Priangan motifs. This motifs comes in a variety of shapes and colors makes this motif has the uniqueness and diversity as well as quite get a response from the public. The purpose of this research is to know motif rereng and know ideas and visualization motifs rereng which created Deden Batik. The method used is descriptive analytic method with a qualitative approach. The technique of collecting data are observation, interviews and documentation. The location of research is Deden Batik industry center which located at Jalan Ciroyom (Cigeureung) 80 Sub Nagarasari Cipedes District of Tasikmalaya, West Java. The results of this study are: 1) The motifs rereng created by "Deden Batik" among rereng eneng, rereng orlet, rereng N, rereng S, rereng pare, rereng toge, rereng sintung, rereng dokter, rereng astrounot, rereng calung, rereng kujang, rereng sirit, rereng bunga, rereng seling bunga, rereng tusuk gigi, rereng useup, rereng bilik, rereng bilik seling calung; 2) The ideas source of motifs rereng are mostly depicting nature, flora and fauna in Tatar Sunda, the objects around, and may refer to or hold on to customers’ prefence; 3) The study of visual motif include point, line, sphere, color, unity, composition, balance, rhythm, contrast and point of interest. Points that appear include cecek and cecek pitu. The lines include curved lines, curved lines circles, straight lines, zigzag lines, snaking lines, curved vertical lines. The sphere are of geometry, organic, combined sphere, angular free sphere. The colors appear analogous colors, monochromatic and complementary. Unity, composition, balance, rhythm, contrast and point of interest which appear from any motive to impress an attractive, symmetrical, balanced into a unified whole.
