    Abstract

    Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai budaya masyarakat etnis Tionghoa di Desa Sewan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga berusaha menganalisis cara masyarakat etnis Tionghoa di desa Sewan kota Tangerang mensosialisasikan nilai-nilai budaya itu kepada generasi berikutnya, serta menganalisis strategi mentransformasikan nilai-nilai budaya masyarakat etnis Tionghoa sebagai sumber pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. Adapun pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif, dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus (case study). Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipergunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi dan triangulasi. Teknik validasi data menggunakan member-check, triangulasi dan expert opinion. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Nilai-nilai budaya yang sangat menonjol pada masyarakat etnis Tionghoa adalah nilai-nilai wirausaha. Ada lima karakteristik para pelaku wirausaha etnis Tionghoa di desa Sewan adalah: ciri percaya diri, berorientasikan tugas dan hasil, pengambil resiko, orisinalitas, berorientasi ke masa depan. Nilai budaya yang menonjol berikutnya adalah ketaatan terhadap tradisi atau adat istiadat (2) Proses sosialisasi nilai-nilai budaya masyarakat etnis Tionghoa di desa Sewan Kota Tangerang kepada generasi berikutnya melalui proses dengan tahap-tahap sebagai berikut: pertama, melalui fase pembentukan kebiasaan (habit forming). Kedua, fase pembentukan (formatif). Ketiga, fase embryonic. Keempat, fase productive. Fase terakhir adalah fase kemapanan / fase kematangan (maturation). (3) Nilai-nilai budaya masyarakat etnis Tionghoa di desa Sewan tersebut sangat memungkinkan ditransformasikan ke dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di sekolah, terutama di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP), melalui pembelajaran kontekstual.

    The research aims to identify and describe the cultural values of the ethnic Chinese community in the village of Sewan. In addition, this study also seeks to analyze how ethnic Chinese community in Sewan village Tangerang City disseminate the cultural values to the next generation, and to analyze the strategies to transform the cultural values of the ethnic Chinese community as a source of learning of Social Studies. The approach in this study is a qualitative approach, using the case study method. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, documentation studies and triangulation. Data validation techniques using member-checking, triangulation, and expert opinion. The results showed that (1) Cultural values are very prominent in the ethnic Chinese community are the values of entrepreneurship. There are five characteristics of the ethnic Chinese entrepreneurs in the Sewan village are: the characteristics of confidence, and results-oriented tasks, risk takers, originality, oriented to the future. The next prominent cultural value is adherence to the traditions or customs (2) The process of socialization of the cultural values of the ethnic Chinese community in Sewan village Tangerang City to the next generation through a process with the following stages: first, through the phase formation of habits (habit forming). Second, the establishment phase (formative). Third, embryonic phase. Fourth, productive phase. The last phase is the phase of establishment / maturation phase (maturation). (3) The cultural values of ethnic Chinese people in the Sewan village are very possible transformed into Social Studies (IPS) learning in schools, especially at the level of junior high school (SMP), through contextual learning.
