Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh dampak negatif dari obesitas atau over wight bagi kesehatan tubuh dan psikologis bagi para penderitanya, serta manfaat HIIT sebagai salah satu upaya untuk meminimalisir obesitas atau over wight. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh High Intensity Interval terhadap penurunan presentase lemak pada tubuh. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen, metode eksperimen adalah metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mencari pengaruh perlakuan tertentu terhadap yang lain dalam kondisi yang dikendalikan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah member Absolut fit dengan pengambilan sampel yang berjumlah 10 orang yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Treadmill, timbangan (Kg), pengukur tinggi badan (Cm), stopwatch, body Fat Monitor, alat tulis, formulir pencatat skor, papan berjalan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa adanya pengaruh high intensity interval training terhadap penurunan presentase lemak pada penderita obesitas atau overwight ---------- The background of this research is the negative impact of overweight to the health of the body and psychological for overweight people, and the benefit of HIIT as one of the ways to minimalize overweight. This research is aimed to know the impact of High Intensity Interval to the reduction of fat percentage in the body. This research use the experiment method, experiment method is a research method that is used to look for the impact of a certain treatment to another in a controlled condition. The population of this research is Absolutfit members with 10 samples who are taken with the purposive sampling technique. The instruments that are used in this research is a treadmill, a scales (Kg), a height measurement tool (Cm), a stopwatch, a body fat monitor, stationery, a form for taking note of score, and a clipboard. The result of this research shows that there is high intensity interval training impact to the reduction of fat percentage of overweight people.
