Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Salah satu faktor yang diduga sebagai penyebab rendahnya hasil belajar siswa adalah model pembelajaran yang diterapkan guru tidak sesuai dengan kompetensi yang harus dicapai siswa. Pada tahun 2013 terbitlah Kurikulum 2013 dan salah satu model pembelajaran yang cocok digunakan di SMK adalah Discovery Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas yaitu X AP 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X AP 3 sebagai kelas kontrol.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen untuk membandingkan hasil belajar siswa di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk mencari perbedaan ini adalah t-test.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dengan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional, terlebih dalam ranah psikomotor.Dengan demikian, guru mata pelajaran Korespondensi dapat menerapkan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. ----------The background of this research was the low learning achievements students. One of the factor that is suspected as low learning achievements is the learning model is not in accordance with the competence to be achieved by students.In 2013, there was Kurikulum 2013 which has three learning models and one of them which suitable for vocational school is Discovery Learning. The subject of this study is X AP 1 as experimental class and X AP 3 as control class. The research method used was quasi-experimental to compare students’s learning achievement in experimental class and control class. The data analysis technique used to determine the difference was t-test. The research showed thedifferences of student’s learning achievement between experimental class which implement Discovery Learning with the control class that implements conventional learning models, especially in the psychomotor. Thus, the Correspondence teachers can implement Discovery Learning to improve student’s learning achievement.
