Abstract

Penelitian didasarkan pada permasalahan kesadaran identitas gender siswa yang rendah mengacu pada aspek peran sosial sebagai pria atau wanita dalam Inventori Tugas Perkembangan Siswa SMA. Penelitian bertujuan untuk membuktikan efektifitas konseling kognitif-perilaku dalam meningkatkan kesadaran identitas gender siswa. Pendekatan penelitian secara kuantitatif dan metode yang digunakan yaitu subjek tunggal dengan desain A-B. Sampelnya adalah siswa kelas XI IPS yang memiliki profil individu hasil pengolahan ATP rendah pada aspek peran sosial sebagai pria atau wanita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konseling kognitif-perilaku efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran identitas gender siswa. Efektifitas tersebut terlihat pada perbandingan skor sebelum dan setelah intervensi yang digambarkan dalam bentuk grafik pada masing-masing subjek penelitian. Guru bimbingan dan konseling diharapkan menjadikan konseling kognitif-perilaku menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran identitas gender siswa yang juga merupakan salah satu tugas perkembangan yang harus diselesaikan oleh siswa. Peneliti selanjutnya juga diharapkan dapat memperluas subjek penelitian sesuai jenjang pendidikan, hal ini dikarenakan standar kompetensi kemandirian siswa dan inventori tugas perkembangan siswa juga mulai diterapkan sejak jenjang Sekolah Dasar sampai dengan jenjang Perguruan Tinggi, serta menguji efektivitas konseling kognitif-perilaku dalam setting kelompok. ---------- The research is based on awareness of the problem of low gender’s student identity refers to social role aspects as a man or woman in the Inventory Task Development of High School Students. The study aims to prove the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral counseling in improving students' awareness of gender identity. Quantitative research approaches and methods used are single-subject design with AB. The samples are students of class XI IPS profile individuals who have low ATP processing results in the social role aspects as a man or a woman. The results showed cognitive-behavioral counseling is effective to improve students' awareness of gender identity. Effectiveness is seen from comparison of the average baseline scores and scores of interventions described in graphic form on each of the research subjects. Guidance and counseling teacher is expected to make a cognitive-behavioral counseling be an alternative to increase awareness of gender identity of students who also is one of the tasks that must be alleviated by the development of the students. Researchers are also expected to expand further research subjects appropriate level of education, because the standard of students 'independence and competence development of students' assignments inventory also applied since elementary school level up to the level of Higher Education, as well as test the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral counseling in a group setting.
