Abstract

Pembelajaran menulis aksara Sunda sangat penting terutama dalam melestarikan warisan budaya leluhur. Adanya anggapan siswa bahwa belajar aksara Sunda sulit menjadi salah satu penyebab dari tidak maksimalnya pencapaian hasil belajar. Media pembelajaran memiliki peran penting dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah, sebab media pembelajaran merupakan perantara yang dapat membantu guru dalam menyampaikan materi pelajaran. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media ular tangga terhadap kemampuan menulis aksara Sunda di kelas VII-C SMP PGRI Cibadak Kabupaten Sukabumi tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, metode yang dipakai adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test and pos-test group. Sumber data dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-A SMP PGRI Cibadak Kabupaten Sukabumi tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjunkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis aksara Sunda. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari hasil uji gain. Rata-rata nilai siswa sebelum menggunakan media ular tangga yaitu 39,8 sedangkan setelah menggunakan media ular tangga rata-rata nilai siswa menjadi 70,26. Selain itu, meningkatnya kemampuan menulis aksara Sunda bisa dilihat dari hasil uji hipotesis yang menunjukkan thitung 13,32 > ttabél 2,46. Artinya, ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pembelajaran sebelum dan sesudah menggunakeun media ular tangga.-------- Learning to write Sundanese script is really important, especially in conserving cultural heritage from the ancestor. Student’s assumption that learning Sundanese script is really difficult became one cause of learning achievement that not maximized. Learning media has a really important role in teaching and learning process in the school because it can help teacher to communicate he learning material. The aim of this research is to find out the effect of snake-ladder media to students progress in writing Sundanese script in SMP PGRI Cibadak VII-C, Kab. Sukabumi 2014/2015. This research used quantitative approach. Method that used in this research was quasi-experiment with pre test and post test group. Data source of this research was the students of SMP PGRI Cibadak class VII-C which were consist of 30 Students. The result of this research shows the increasing of student’s ability in writing Sundanese script. This can be seen from the gain test result. The average score before using the snake-ladder media, are 39,8. And after using the snake-ladder media, their average score are 70,26. Besides the score, the increase of student’s ability in writing Sundanese script can be seen from the hypothesis test thitung 13,32 > ttabél 2,46. It means that there is significant difference between before, and after using the snake-ladder media.
