Abstract

Hakekat pendidikan adalah membentuk sumber daya manusia seutuhnya. Pendidikan inklusif dipandang sebagai bentuk kepedulian dalam merespon spektrum kebutuhan belajar peserta didik yang beragam, termasuk kebutuhan belajar peserta didik cerdas istimewa. Program akselerasi belajar merupakan salah satu layanan belajar yang paling tepat saat ini bagi peserta didik cerdas istimewa. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah masih terdapat pro dan kontra di kalangan guru dan orang tua mengenai penyelenggaraan program akselerasi belajar bagi peserta didik cerdas istimewa, pada lingkup rekrutmen, proses belajar dan evaluasi belajar peserta didik cerdas istimewa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan opini guru, orang tua dan peserta didik cerdas istimewa tentang penyelenggaraan program akselerasi belajar di SMP Negeri I Baleendah dengan fokus rekrutmen, proses belajar dan evaluasi belajar serta alternatif gagasan layanan belajar bagi peserta didik Cerdas Istimewa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif . Alat pengumpul data adalah observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian : (1) terdapat empat pola rekrutmen peserta didik cerdas istimewa sesuai edaran dari Dinas pendidikan Prov. Jabar (2) Proses dan evaluasi belajar dilaksanakan di kelas khusus (3) terdapat lima alternatif gagasan layanan belajar bagi peserta didik cerdas istimewa Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah : terdapat alternatif gagasan layanan belajar bagi peserta didik cerdas istimewa selain program akselerasi belajar . Saran pada penelitian ini perlu adanya peningkatan koordinasi dan komunikasi antara penyelenggara program akselerasi belajar dengan guru, orang tua dan peserta didik serta para stakeholder demi tercapainya layanan belajar yang optimal, dan perlu juga penelaahan lebih lanjut tentang alternatif gagasan layanan belajar bagi peserta didik cerdas istimewa Kata kunci : Program Akselerasi Belajar, Peserta Didik Cerdas Istimewa, dan Opini The essence of education is to build the quality of human resources. Inclusive education is seen as a concern in response to a spectrum of students various learning needs, including the learning needs of gifted students. Accelerated learning program is one of the most appropriate learning services for gifted students. The problems related to the fact that there are still pros and cons among teachers and parents on the implementation of accelerated learning programs for gifted students, including the way of recruitment, learning process, and evaluation program for those students. This study aims to obtain opinions of teachers, parents and gifted students about the implementation of accelerated learning program at SMP Negeri I Baleendah. The focus is on the recruitment process, learning process, and evaluation of learning and also the idea of alternative learning services for the gifted students. The method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interview and documentation. The results are: (1) there are four patterns in recruiting gifted students based on the policy of Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat (2) Learning process and evaluation were conducted in a special class (3) there are five alternative ideas of learning service for gifted students. The conclusion of this study is: in addtition to accelerated learning program, there is an alternative idea of learning service for gifted students. The study reccomends that to achieve optimal learning services, there should be an improvement on coordination and communication between school, teachers, parents, students and the stakeholders. Also, there should be more study about the alternative idea of learning services for gifted students. Key Words: Accelerated Learning Program, Gifted Students and Opinion
