Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang muncul dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas, yaitu kesulitan dalam menemukan metode yang menarik dan menyenangkan khususnya pada pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengujicobakan keefektifan model Blended Learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi dengan mengetahui hal-hal berikut ini: 1) kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, 2) perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi pada siswa sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model pembelajaran Blended Learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 13 Bandung dengan subjek penelitian kelas X yang berjumlah 31 orang di kelas eksperimen dan 31 orang di kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data di kelas eksperimen, model pembelajaran Blended Learning tergolong efektif karena dapat meningkatkan hasil tes siswa dari nilai 65 menjadi 78. This research is motivated by problems that arise in the learning process in the classroom, namely the difficulty in finding a method that is interesting and fun learning activities especially in writing exposition text. This research intends to test the effectiveness of Blended Learning models in learning of writing exposition text by know the following things: 1) the student’s ability of writing complex procedure text in the experimental class and the control class, 2) a significant difference between the student’s ability of writing complex procedure text before and after applied by Blended Learning model. This research was conducted at SMAN 13 Bandung with subjects were a class X which amounts to 31 people in experiment class and 31 people in control class. Based on the analysis of data in the experimental class of Blended Learning models classified as effective as it can improve student test results from grades 65 to 78.
