Abstract
Masalah yang dibahas pada variabel X (pemberian tunjangan profesi) yaitu kurangnya guru dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT, kurangnya guru dalam mengelola kelas saat proses belajar mengajar, adapun masalah pada variabel Y (kinerja mengajar guru) yakni keterlambatan dalam pemberian tunjangan profesi dan tunjangan profesi belum meningkatkan profesionalitas guru. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode angket tertutup. Populasi penelitian yaitu guru yang telah menerima tunjangan profesi di SMPN Se-Rayon 03 Kabupaten Garut sebanyak 162 orang dengan sampel populasi 65 orang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai pengaruh pemberian tunjangan profesi terhadap kinerja mengajar guru di SMPN Se-Rayon 03 Kabupaten Garut. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan rumus Weight Means Score (WMS), gambaran umum variabel X berada pada kategori Tinggi. Sementara gambaran umum variabel Y berada pada kategori Sangat Tinggi. Korelasi variabel X dan Y memiliki hubungan yang signifikan berada pada kategori rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa, pemberian tunjangan profesi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja mengajar guru di SMPN Se-Rayon 03 kabupaten Garut. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah lebih rutin melakukan bimbingan bagi guru-guru yang terlihat dari hasil evaluasi supervisi (pembelajaran) dinilai masih kurang, guru meningkatkan kemampuan dalam memilih metode evaluasi yang tepat untuk setiap siswa dan meningkatkan profesinya melalui kegiatan-kegiatan pengembangan profesi yang dalam pembiayaannya menjadi tanggung jawab sendiri. The problem discussedin the variable X (profession subsidy) is the lack of teachers in controlling the class in the process of learning. The problem in variable Y (Teaching Performance of Teachers) is the delay of profession subsidy, and in the other side, it has not increased teachers’ professionalism yet. The descriptive method with quantitative approach was used in this research, while the technique used in collecting the data is enclosed questionnaires. The population of this research are 162 teachers who have gotten the profession subsidy at Rayon 03 of SMP in Kabupaten Garut with 65 teachers as the sample. This research aims to find out the description of the influences of profession subsidy to the teachers’ performances in teaching at Rayon 03 of SMP in Kabupaten Garut. Based on the data calculation using the Weigh Means Score (WMS), the general description of variable X is on the high category. While the general description of variable Y is on the very high category. The correlation between variable X dan Y shows a significant coherence which is on a low category.Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the profession subsidy significantly influences the teachers’ teaching performances at Rayon 03 of SMP in Kabupaten Garut. Researcher’s recommendation for this research is that it would be better for the school principal to routinely give the guidance to the teachers based on the supervision evaluation (learning). Then, for the teachers, it would be better to increase the skills in deciding the appropriate evaluation method for the students and improving their skill profesion through the activities of profession development which are paid by themselves.
