    Abstract

    Penelitian ini beranjak dari adanya indikasi yang menunjukkan mutu SD Negeri di Kecamatan Cileunyi Kabupaten Bandung belum tercapai dengan optimal. Untuk mewujudkan SD Negeri yang bermutu diperlukan adanya kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah dan iklim kerja sekolah yang kondusif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah dan iklim kerja sekolah terhadap mutu SD Negeri di Kecamatan Cileunyi Kabupaten Bandung.
    Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan guru SD Negeri di Kecamatan Cileunyi Kabupaten Bandung yang berjumlah 365 orang. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan metode probability sampling dan diperoleh sampel sejumlah 191 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya diolah menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier.
    Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah berada pada kategori tinggi, sedangkan kecenderungan umum variabel iklim kerja sekolah dan mutu sekolah dasar berada pada kategori sangat tinggi. Hasil uji korelasi ketiga variabel menunjukkan tingkat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan. Kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah memberikan pengaruh yang kuat terhadap mutu sekolah dasar, sedangkan iklim kerja sekolah memberikan pengaruh yang cukup kuat terhadap mutu sekolah dasar. Sementara itu kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah dan iklim kerja sekolah secara bersama-sama memberikan pengaruh yang kuat terhadap mutu sekolah dasar.
    Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah dan iklim kerja sekolah memberikan pengaruh terhadap mutu SD Negeri di Kecamatan Cileunyi Kabupaten Bandung.
    Adapun rekomendasi berdasarkan hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: 1) perlu dilakukan pengelolaan terhadap perubahan yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah diantaranya dengan melakukan analisis organisasi dan kebutuhan organisasi terhadap perubahan, 2) kepala SD Negeri di Kecamatan Cileunyi Kabupaten Bandung perlu mengembangkan peran pemimpin yang kuat dan menciptakan visi sekolah bersama warga sekolah, 3) sekolah memiliki database mengenai profil guru dan staf mencakup berbagai aspek yang berhubungan dengan kompetensi profesional, 4) terdapat prosedur pemberian penghargaan dan insentif terhadap guru, staf, dan peserta didik yang berprestasi, dalam hal ini sekolah bisa bekerja sama dengan dinas pendidikan kabupaten, dan 5) bagi peneliti selanjutnya disarankan untuk mencoba mengkaji variabel lain yang mempengaruhi mutu sekolah dasar.

    This research moved from the indication that the quality of public primary schools in the District of Bandung sub district Cileunyi not been achieved with optimally. To realize quality in elementary school required principal’’ visionary leadership and school work climate. The purpose of this study is to determine how much influence of principal’s visionary leadership and school climate work against elementary school quality in District of Bandung sub district Cileunyi.
    The study was conducted using descriptive and quantitative approaches. The population in this study is the principasl and the elementary school teachers in the District of Bandung sub district Cileunyi totaling 365 people. Samples were taken by using a probability sampling method and obtained a sample of 191 people. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The collected data was then analyzed using linear regression analysis techniques.
    The research results demonstrate that principals’ visionary leadership at the high category, while the general trends of school work climate variables and the quality of primary schools are at a very high category. The third variable correlation test results demonstrate that levels of positive and significant relationship. Principal’s visionary leadership provide strong influence on the quality of primary school, while the school work climate gives a strong influence on the quality of primary school. While the principal’s visionary leadership and school work climate together provide a strong influence on the quality of primary school.
    Based on the findings of this study concluded that the principal’s visionary leadership and school work climate influence on the quality of public primary schools in the District of Bandung sub district Cileunyi.
    The recommendation is based on the following results: 1 ) it is necessary to manage the changes made by the principal by analyzing the organization and the organization needs to change, 2) the head of the Elementary School in the District of Bandung sub district Cileunyi need to develop a strong leadership role and create a vision school with the school community, 3) the school has a database of profiles of teachers and staff covering various aspects related to professional competence, 4) there are procedures and incentive awards to teachers, staff, and students who excel, in this case the school can work together with the district education office, and 5) for further research is recommended to try to assess other variables that affect the quality of primary school.
