Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang studi komparatif penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif teknik two stay two stray dan teknik think pair share yang dilatar belakangi dengan adanya kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan kualitas mutu pendidikan tingkat SMA di Indonesia. Mutu pendidikan di representasikan dengan keberhasilan pembelajaran dalam sekolah. Upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar di sekolah menjadi agenda penting guna meningkatkan mutu pendidikan tingkat SMA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan perbandingan hasil belajar siswa. kemudian, penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas. Pada kelas yang pertama, model pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif teknik two stay two stray, sedangkan pada kelas yang kedua, model pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif teknik think pair share. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode poor experimental, dimana pada penelitian ini tidak terdapat variabel kontrol. dengan subjek terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas XIPS 3 (two stay two stray) dan X IPS 1 (think pair share). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes tertulis dan dalam bentuk soal pilihan ganda. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan uji t menggunakan SPSS 21.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antara kelas X IPS 3 (two stay two stray) dan X IPS 1 (think pair share). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa dapat meningkat dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif teknik two stay two stray dan think pair share. Dari kedua model pembelajaran kooperatif tersebut, dinyatakan bahwa teknik two stay two stray lebih baik hasil yang dicapai dari pada teknik think pair share dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. This research is about the comparative study on the use of the cooperative learning model techniques ‘two stay two stray’and‘think pair share’. The background of this research is the need of improvement of the High Schools’ quality in Indonesia; Quality of education represented by the learning success in the school. Effort to improving learning outcomes before the important activities to improve the quality of education. Research aims to identifydifferences and comparisonsof student learning outcomes. Then, this research uses two classes. The first class, using the cooperative learning model techniques ‘two stay two stray’. While the second class, using the cooperative learning model techniques ‘think pair share’. because the fact is that the conventional learning is incapable of improving students’ problem solving skill. Beside, this research uses two class, which in every class, employed different techniques. The method employed is the ‘Poor Experimental Method, wherein this research there is no control variable found. The subjects of this research are the students from the grade 10 social class 3 (two stay two stray) and 1 (think pair share). The data are collected from the written and multiple choice tests, while the data analysis will apply t-test using SPSS 21.0. The results of this research show that there are differences on the student learning outcomes’ between those treated by the ‘two stay two stray’ and ‘think pair share’. Base on these results, it can be concluded that the students learning outcomes can be improved by applying both of the techniques of the cooperative learning, it is also stated that the ‘two stay two stray’ has better level of the achievement than the other techniques in term of improving the student learning outcomes.
