Abstract

This aim of the study is to answer whether creative economic behaviour among university students are effected by entrepreneurship learning style, entrepreneurship knowledge, and entrepreneurship attitude and entrepreneurship motivation. Although entrepreneurship is a compulsory subject for university students, the levels of creative economic behaviour and entrepreneurship are still low empirically. The method used in this study was survey. Data were collected through questionnaire among 399 respondents from 5 (five) state and private universities across Special Province of Yogyakarta. Samples were decided through “cluster random sampling method”. Data analysis was held by using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) which includes confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis. The results showed that four variables; entrepreneurship learning style, entrepreneurship knowledge, entrepreneurship attitude, and entrepreneurship motivation significantly affected students creative economy behavior. Furthermore, learning style and entrepreneurship attitude variables significantly affected entrepreneurship motivation, on the contrary the variables of entrepreneurship knowledge did not. Other findings from this research were intelligence level and student knowledge did not affect entrepreneurship motivation. The study recommends the entrepreneurial learning not only promote transfer of knowledge, tetapi juga transfer of skill dan transfer of values. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar gaya belajar kewirausahaan, pengaruh pengetahuan kewirausahaan, sikap kewirausahaan, dan motivasi kewirausahaan terhadap perilaku kreatif ekonomi mahasiswa. Secara empirik tingkat perilaku kreatif ekonomi dan motivasi kewirausahaan mahasiswa masih rendah, padahal mata kuliah kewirausahaan di perguruan tinggi menjadi mata kuliah wajib bagi mahasiswa. Metode survey digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket yang tersebar di 5 (lima) perguruan tinggi negeri dan swasta di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan cluster random sampling. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis melalui Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) yang meliputi analisis faktor konfirmatori dan analisa jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa empat varibel yaitu, gaya belajar kewirausahaan, pengetahuan kewirausahaan, sikap kewirausahaan, dan motivasi kewirausahaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku kreatif ekonomi mahasiswa. Meskipun gaya belajar dan sikap kewirausahaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kewirausahaan, namun variable pengetahuan kewirausahaan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kewirausahaan. Temuan dari penelitian ini bahwa motivasi kewirausahaan tidak dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kecerdasan dan pengetahuan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan dalam pembelajaran kewirausahaan tidak hanya mengedepankan transfer of knowledge, tetapi juga transfer of skill dan transfer of values.
