    Abstract

    Kesalahan penempatan murid di SMA seringkali disebabkan oleh rendahnya pemahaman murid terhadap potensi diri belum optimalnya pemanfaatan hasil asesmen oleh guru BK. Latar belakang penelitian ini berdasar pada pentingnya penempatan murid yang sesuai dengan potensi, minat dan kepribadian yang akan berdampak pada perencanaan karir murid. Penelitian ini akan mendeskripsikan Validitas prediktif Skor APM (Advanced Progressive Matrices), IST (Intelligenz-Struktur-Test), EPPS (Edwards Personal Preference Schedule), dan IMP (Inventori Minat Pekerjaan) terhadap nilai mata pelajaran Biologi murid Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan correlational—predicting design digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan dan pengaruh antar variabel serta mengidentifikasi variabel-variabel yang menjadi prediktor dalam mempredikasi hasil dari variabel kriteria. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif maupun negatif yang signifikan dari skor APM, IST, EPPS dan IMP terhadap nilai mata pelajaran Biologi. Variabel IQ dan GE (Gemeinsamkeiten) memberikan pengaruh positif kuat terhadap nilai mata pelajaran Biologi dengan nilai koefisien Beta (β) IQ = 0,201 dan GE = 0,128. Murid yang menunjukkan kemampuan tinggi pada sub tes GE, SE, dan WA berpotensi memiliki kesiapan kognitif yang lebih baik untuk melanjutkan studi di bidang Biologi. Penelitian ini juga menghasilkan formula prediktif yang dapat digunakan guru BK dalam memberikan layanan peminatan berdasarkan bukti empirik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan sistem penempatan murid di SMA yang lebih tepat sasaran. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, disarankan untuk menguji formula yang telah dirumuskan dengan menggunakan desain longitudinal, agar efektivitas dan konsistensi formula tersebut dapat dievaluasi secara berkelanjutan dalam jangka waktu yang lebih panjang. Student placement errors in high schools are often caused by students' low understanding of their own potential and teachers' suboptimal use of assessment results. The background of this study is based on the importance of placing students according to their potential, interests, and personality, which will have an impact on their career planning. This study will describe the predictive validity of APM (Advanced Progressive Matrices), IST (Intelligenz-Struktur-Test), EPPS (Edwards Personal Preference Schedule), and IMP (Inventory of Work Interests) scores on high school students' biology grades. A quantitative approach with a correlational-predictive design was used to determine the relationships and influences between variables and to identify the variables that serve as predictors in predicting the results of the criterion variable. The results of the study indicate that there are significant positive and negative influences of APM, IST, EPPS, and IMP scores on biology grades. The IQ and GE (Gemeinsamkeiten) variables have a strong positive influence on Biology subject grades, with Beta coefficients (β) of IQ = 0.201 and GE = 0.128. Students who demonstrate high ability in the GE, SE, and WA subtests have the potential to have better cognitive readiness to continue their studies in the field of Biology. This study also produced a predictive formula that can be used by guidance counselors in providing interest-based services based on empirical evidence. Therefore, this study contributes to the development of a more targeted student placement system in high schools. For future researchers, it is recommended to test the formulated formula using a longitudinal design, so that the effectiveness and consistency of the formula can be evaluated continuously over a longer period of time.
