    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan metode diskusi berbantuan media Padlet dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa BIPA kelas VIII di SIS Bandung. Metode diskusi dipilih sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran karena karakteristiknya yang mendorong interaksi aktif, kolaborasi, dan konstruksi pengetahuan secara sosial, yang sangat sesuai untuk pembelajaran bahasa asing. Media Padlet diintegrasikan sebagai platform digital yang memfasilitasi diskusi online, berbagi ide, kolaborasi real-time, dan dokumentasi proses pembelajaran. Tata cara pembelajaran dilaksanakan melalui desain Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan pola A-B-A yang melibatkan 6 siswa BIPA kelas VIII. Baseline pertama (A1) dilakukan 3 kali pengukuran untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan menulis awal siswa tanpa intervensi. Fase intervensi (B) dilaksanakan selama 5 sesi pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode diskusi berbantuan media Padlet, dimana siswa melakukan diskusi kelompok, berbagi ide melalui platform Padlet, menulis secara kolaboratif, dan memberikan umpan balik antar teman. Baseline kedua (A2) dilakukan 3 kali pengukuran untuk mengevaluasi peningkatan kemampuan menulis pasca-intervensi. Metode diskusi terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang interaktif dan kolaboratif, sementara media Padlet menyediakan platform yang aksesibel dan menarik untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi metode diskusi dengan media digital dalam pembelajaran BIPA untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of applying the Padlet-assisted discussion method in improving the writing skills of eighth-grade BIPA students at SIS Bandung. The discussion method was chosen as a learning approach because of its characteristics that encourage active interaction, collaboration, and social knowledge construction, which are very suitable for foreign language learning. Padlet media was integrated as a digital platform that facilitates online discussion, idea sharing, real-time collaboration, and documentation of the learning process. The learning procedure was carried out through a Single Subject Research (SSR) design with an A-B-A pattern involving 6 eighth-grade BIPA students. The first baseline (A1) was conducted with 3 measurements to identify students' initial writing abilities without intervention. The intervention phase (B) was carried out over 5 learning sessions using the Padlet-assisted discussion method, where students engaged in group discussions, shared ideas through the Padlet platform, wrote collaboratively, and provided peer feedback. The second baseline (A2) was conducted with three measurements to evaluate the improvement in writing skills after the intervention. The discussion method proved to be effective in creating an interactive and collaborative learning environment, while the Padlet media provided an accessible and attractive platform to support the learning process. This study recommends the integration of discussion methods with digital media in BIPA learning to improve students' writing skills.
