Abstract

Seni pertunjukan musik pada saat ini tidak hanya mengandalkan karya musikal saja, kemajuan teknologi telah mendorong eksplorasi artistik yang kini menjadi bagian penting dalam praktik pertunjukan. Desain artistik berfungsi untuk memperkuat makna, suasana, dan sebagai sarana komunikasi identitas band. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana proses desain artistik yang diterapkan oleh band Faith and Fate pada pertunjukan musiknya. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dipilih untuk memahami proses kreatif perancangan desain artistik band Faith and Fate. Data dikumpulkan melalui triangulasi data, yaitu gabungan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa proses penyatuan ide dan konsep artistik band Faith and Fate dilakukan secara kolaboratif dengan sistem semi-hierarkis, dan keputusan akhir diambil melalui musyawarah. Penerapan elemen artistik dilakukan secara terencana dan adaptif melalui penyesuaian warna pencahayaan dan gaya busana sehingga menunjukkan bahwa identitas artistik band Faith and Fate masih berada pada tahap eksplorasi. Band Faith and Fate telah menunjukkan kesadaran akan pentingnya elemen visual, sehingga integrasi elemen audio-visual nya telah berhasil menciptakan pengalaman pertunjukan yang dapat membangun keterkaitan dengan audiens. Today's music performance art does not only rely on musical works, technological advances have encouraged artistic exploration which is now an important part of performance practice. Artistic design serves to reinforce meaning, atmosphere, and as a means of communicating the band's identity. This research aims to understand how the artistic design process applied by the band Faith and Fate in their musical performances. A descriptive qualitative approach was chosen to understand the creative process of designing the artistic design of the band Faith and Fate. Data was collected through data triangulation, which is a combination of interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results found that the process of unifying the ideas and artistic concepts of the band Faith and Fate was done collaboratively with a semi-hierarchical system, and the final decision was taken through deliberation. The application of artistic elements was done in a planned and adaptive manner through adjustments to lighting colors and clothing styles, showing that the artistic identity of the band Faith and Fate was still at the exploration stage. The band Faith and Fate has shown awareness of the importance of visual elements, so that the integration of audio-visual elements has succeeded in creating a performance experience that can build a connection with the audience
