Abstract

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menelaah pengaruh pencapaian dan peningkatan melalui pembelajaran kontekstual dan strategi think-talk-write terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi, pemecahan masalah dan disposisi matematik siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol pretes dan postes. Kelompok eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual dan strategi think-talk-write dan kelompok kontrol memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Untuk mendapatkan data hasil penelitian digunakan instrumen berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi dan pemecahan masalah matematik serta angket skala disposisi matematik siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 1 Sigli Provinsi Aceh dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIII sebanyak dua kelas yang dipilih secara purposif. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap data postes dan gain ternormalisasi kemampuan komunikasi dan pemecahan masalah matematik dan data disposisi matematik antara kedua kelompok sampel dengan menggunakan uji perbedaan rerata dua populasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi dan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual dan strategi think-talk-write lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual dan strategi think-talk-write lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil skala disposisi matematik menunjukkan bahwa disposisi matematik siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran kontekstual dan strategi think-talk-write lebih baik daripada disposisi matematik siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara kemampuan komunikasi, pemecahan masalah dan disposisi matematik yang mendapat pembelajaran kontekstual dan Strategi Think-Talk-Write, korelasi termasuk dalam katagori tinggi. The main objective of this study was to examine the influence of achievement and improvement through contextual learning and strategy think-talk-write to increase communication skills, problem solving and mathematical dispositions students. The design of this study is the experimental group with the control group pretest and posttest. The experimental group gained contextual learning and strategy think-talk-write and gain control group of conventional learning. To obtain research data is test instrument used communication skills and mathematical problem solving and mathematical disposition scale questionnaire students. The study population was all students of SMP Negeri 1 Sigli Province Aceh with sample eighth grade students as much as two classes selected purposively. Quantitative analysis was conducted on the posttest and normalized gain communication skills and mathematical problem solving and mathematical disposition of data between the two groups of samples using two population mean difference test. The results showed that the communication skills and mathematical problem solving of students who obtain contextual learning and strategy think-talk-write better than students who received conventional learning. Achievement and improvement of communication skills and mathematical problem solving of students who obtain contextual learning and strategy think-talk-write better than students who received conventional learning. The results showed that the mathematical disposition scale mathematical dispositions of students who received contextual learning and strategy think-talk-write mathematical disposition better than students who received conventional learning. The results also show that there is a correlation between communication skills, problem solving and mathematical dispositions received contextual learning and Strategy Think-Talk-Write, correlations are included in the high category.
