Abstract

Matematika sebagai salah satu mata pelajaran yang diajarkan di Sekolah Dasar. Matematika merupakan ilmu yang bersifat deduktif dan juga ilmu yang bersifat abstrak. Matematika yang bersifat deduktif dan juga bersifat abstrak tersebut harus diajarkan pada anak sekolah dasar. Disisi lain, anak Sekolah Dasar belum dapat berpikir secara formal dan berada pada tahap operasi konkret. Maka dari itu perlu adanya suatu yang menjembatani antara karakteristik anak dengan karakteristik matematika tersebut. Materi yang sulit dipelajari pada anak Sekolah Dasar salah satunya adalah materi operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan biasa. Dengan media blackboard berpetak diharapkan pembelajaran dapat tersampaikan dengan baik disesuaikan dengan cara berpikir anak. Pada penelitian ini, kemampuan yang akan peneliti ukur adalah pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap materi operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan pecahan biasa. Karena materi disini merupakan konsep yang berkembang dari konsep dasar. Konsep dasar yang telah mereka pelajari pada tahap penanaman konsep merupakan suatu materi prasyarat untuk materi yang akan diajarkan pada tahap pemahaman konsep. Materi prasyarat untuk materi operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan pecahan biasa seperti bilangan pecahan, konsep penjumlahan, konsep pengurangan, dll. Kelas yang digunakan sebagai subjek penelitian adalah kelas IV, SDN Cisalasih, Kecamatan Lembang, Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Dimana terdapat peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil test siswa yang menujukan peningkatan dari tes siklus I ke tes siklus II. Meningkatnya hasil tes siswa, maka meningkat pula pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap materi. Dengan begitu, jika penggunaan media blackboard berpetak ini digunakan dengan tepat, maka dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan biasa. Kata kunci :Blackboard Berpetak, Pemahaman Konsep Mathematics as one of the subjects taught in primary schools. Mathematics is a science that is both deductive and abstract science. Mathematics that is deductive and also the abstract should be taught in elementary school children. On the other hand, elementary school children have not been able to think formally and at the concrete operations stage. Trush the need for a bridge thing among the characteristics of children with mathematical characteristics. The material is difficult to learn the children one of them is matter of operation of additon and subtraction of fractions ordinary. By using terraced blackboard it is expected that the learning can be delivered by either in accordance with the child’s way of thingking. In this research, investigatigators will measure is concept understanding ability of students of operation of addition and subtraction of fractions ordinary. Because the material here as evolving concept from basic concept. Basic concept they have learned at concept planting stage is a prerequisite material to the material being taught at concept planting stage. Material preconditions to opation of addition and subtraction of fractions ordinary like fractions, additional concept, subtraction concept, etc. Classes are used as research subject is IV class, Cisalasih Elementary School, Lembang Subdistrict, West Bandung District. This research was conducted in two cycle. There is increased from I cycle to II cycle. It can be seen from the test results of students who showed improvement of the I cycle test to II cycle test. Increased students test results, so also increase student’s concept understanding of the material. With so, if use this terraced blckboard used appropriately it can improve student’s concept understanding in operation of addition and subtraction of fractions ordinary.
