    Abstract

    Tunanetra menghadapi berbagai hambatan dalam aktivitas berbelanja, terutama dalam mengakses informasi visual pada kemasan produk seperti merek, harga, dan varian. Ketergantungan terhadap bantuan orang lain saat berbelanja menjadi tantangan utama menghambat kemandirian mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi Teman Belanja sebagai teknologi asistif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbelanja siswa tunanetra di minimarket. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode mixed method dengan desain sequential exploratory. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara serta pre-test dan post-test. Data kualitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif sedangkan analisis kuantitatif menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test dan uji N-Gain. Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan signifikansi 0,026, yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan anatara sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan aplikasi, khususnya ketersmpilan dalam mengenali produk, mengetahui harga dan menghitung total belanja. Selanjutnya, hasil uji N-Gain menghasilkan rata-rata skor sebesar 0,989 atau 98,9% dengan kategori peningkatan tinggi dan efektif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah aplikasi Teman Belanja tidak hanya memberikan perbedaan yang signifikan, tetapi juga terbukti sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbelanja siswa tunanetra. Aplikasi ini memungkinkan tunanetra untuk mengakses informasi produk secara mandiri melalui pemindaian barcode dan output suara, sehingga dapat mengurangi ketergantungan pada orang lain. Aplikasi ini juga memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan teknologi asistif yang fungsional dan inklusif di bidang pendidikan dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Visually impaired individuals face various challenges in shopping activities, particularly in accessing details on product packaging such as brand, price, and variants. Relying on others is the main obstacle that limits their autonomy. This study aims to develop the Teman Belanja application as an assistive technology to support the shopping abilities of visually impaired students in minimarkets. The study uses a mixed-method approach with a sequential exploratory design. Data collection involved observation, interviews, and pre- and post-tests. Qualitative data were analyzed descriptively, while quantitative analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and N-Gain test. The Wilcoxon test showed a significance level of 0.026, demonstrating statistically significant improvement between the pre- and post-application periods, especially in product identification, price comprehension, and total purchase calculation. Furthermore, the N-Gain test results yielded an average score of 0.989 or 98.9%, categorized as high improvement and effective. The conclusion of this study is that the Teman Belanja application not only produces significant differences but is also proven to be highly effective in enhancing the shopping skills of visually impaired students. The implementation of this app enables visually impaired individuals to independently access product information through barcode scanning and voice output, thereby reducing their reliance on others. The app also contributes to the development of functional and inclusive assistive technology in the fields of education and daily life.
