    Abstract

    Peningkatan penggunaan perangkat digital pada anak usia dini ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran terhadap perkembangan kognitif mereka. Screen time yang berlebihan berpotensi mengganggu proses berpikir, kemampuan memecahkan masalah, dan interaksi sosial anak. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis apakah screen time berpengaruh terhadap aspek kognitif anak usia dini di Kecamatan Purwakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah orang tua yang memiliki anak usia dini, dengan sampel sebanyak 100 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner skala Likert yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi regresi sebesar 0,113 (p >0,05), yang berarti tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara screen time dan aspek kognitif anak usia dini. Nilai R Square sebesar 0,025 menunjukkan bahwa screen time hanya berkontribusi 2,5% dalam aspek kognitif. Maka dari itu pengaruh yang ditemukan bersifat negatif, meskipun tidak signifikan terhadap aspek kognitif. Namun, perlu adanya pengawasan dari orang tua agar screen time tetap digunakan secara bijak sesuai kebutuhan perkembangan anak. ----- The increasing use of digital devices in early childhood raises concerns about their cognitive development. Excessive screen time has the potential to disrupt children's thinking processes, problem-solving abilities, and social interactions. Based on this, this study was conducted to analyze whether screen time affects the cognitive aspects of early childhood in Purwakarta District. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population in this study were parents of early childhood children, with a sample of 100 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of this study showed a regression significance value of 0.113 (p > 0.05), which means there is no significant influence between screen time and the cognitive aspects of early childhood. The R Square value of 0.025 indicates that screen time only contributes 2.5% to the cognitive aspect. Therefore, the influence found is negative, although not significant on the cognitive aspect. However, parental supervision is needed to ensure that screen time is used wisely according to the child's developmental needs.
