Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menjabarkan struktur kalimat Bahasa Perancis dalam situs http://frenglishnews.com; 2) menjabarkan struktur kalimat Bahasa Inggris dalam situs http://frenglishnews.com; dan 3) menjelaskan hasil perbandingan sintaksis Bahasa Perancis dan Bahasa Inggris dalam situs http://frenglishnews.com. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik analisis kontrastif (AK) yang dalam dunia linguistik merupakan sebuah teknik khusus untuk memperbandingkan salah satu aspek kebahasaan dari dua bahasa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka, instrumen yang selalu digunakan dalam AK, yang memperbandingkan sintaksis kedua bahasa tersebut dari segi struktur, kala, jenis kalimat bahkan makna yang dihasilkan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat beberapa persamaan dan perbedaan dari kedua bahasa tersebut untuk memberitakan peristiwa yang terjadi. Persamaan yang ditemukan adalah antara lain: struktur kalimat secara umum, beberapa perubahan struktur agar makna menjadi sepadan, dan pengaruh penekanan topik. Sementara, perbedaannya ada pada peletakan adverbia, pertukaran posisi subjek dan verba, serta perubahan struktur untuk menyamakan jumlah klausa. Kemudian, antara kala Bahasa Perancis dan Bahasa Inggris dapat ditemukan beberapa kesepadanan. Kata kunci: Analisis Kontrastif, Sintaksis, Bahasa Perancis, Bahasa Inggris This research aims to 1) describe the French sentence structure in the site http://frenglishnews.com; 2) describe the English sentence structure in the site http://frenglishnews.com; 3) explain the syntactic comparison result between French and English in the site http://frenglishnews.com. The method used in this research is the descriptive method with contrastive analysis (CA) technique which is known in linguistics as the particular technique to compare one of the linguistic aspects between two languages. The instrument used in this research is the bibliographic study, the instrument that is always used in CA, which compares the structure, tense, sentence types, even the meaning produced between the syntaxes of the two languages. The result of this research is that there are some differences and similarities between the two languages to make news’ informations about things that is happening. The similarities found are : the general sentence structure, some structural change to make the meanings equivalent, and the influence of topic highlighting. On the other hand, the differences are: adverbial positioning, the switch between subject’s and verb’s position, and the structural change to match the clause number.
