    Abstract

    Gunung Sagara yang terletak di Kabupaten Garut, Jawa Barat merupakan salah satu tempat yang cocok untuk pertumbuhan anggrek terestrial. Informasi mengenai Gunung Sagara dan anggrek terestrialnya masih sangat kurang, sehingga tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai keanekaragaman, distribusi, dan jenis-jenis anggrek terestrial yang terdapat di Gunung Sagara. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan sistematik sampling dengan ukuran plot 5x5m berjumlah 45 plot di area tepi jalur pendakian. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan 3 dari 5 subfamili anggrek yang ada di dunia yaitu Epidendroideae, Orchidoideae, dan Vanilloideae. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Gunung Sagara terdapat 14 spesies dalam 12 genus anggrek terestrial. Terdapat spesies anggrek yang sebaran geografisnya hanya ada di Indonesia, yaitu Calanthe flava. Anggrek endemik Pulau Jawa juga ditemukan seperti Crepidium junghuhnii dan Gastrodia crispa. Beberapa spesies tergolong sebagai "anggrek hantu", yaitu anggrek mycoheterotrophic yang tidak memiliki daun dan klorofil seperti Cyrtosia sp., Cystorchis aphylla, dan Gastrodia crispa. Keanekaragaman anggrek terestrial di Gunung Sagara Garut tergolong sedang dan distribusi sebagian besar anggrek terestrial tergolong mengelompok. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk menjaga keanekaragaman hayati alam, serta menjadi informasi dasar untuk penelitian lebih lanjut di Gunung Sagara Garut, khususnya tentang anggrek terestrial. Mount Sagara located in Garut Regency, West Java is one of the suitable places for terrestrial orchid growth. Information about Mount Sagara and its terrestrial orchids is still very lacking, so the purpose of this study was to obtain information about the diversity, distribution, and types of terrestrial orchids found on Mount Sagara. This research method uses systematic sampling with a plot size of 5x5m totaling 45 plots in the area on the edge of the hiking trail. In this study, 3 of the 5 orchid subfamilies in the world were found, namely Epidendroideae, Orchidoideae, and Vanilloideae. The results showed that on Mount Sagara there are 14 species in 12 terrestrial orchid genera. There is a terrestrial orchid species whose geographical distribution is only in Indonesia, namely Calanthe flava. Endemic orchids of Java Island were also found such as Crepidium junghuhnii and Gastrodia crispa. Several species are classified as "ghost orchids", namely mycoheterotrophic orchids that do not have leaves and chlorophyll such as Cyrtosia sp., Cystorchis aphylla, and Gastrodia crispa. The diversity of terrestrial orchids on Mount Sagara Garut is classified as moderate and the distribution of most terrestrial orchids is classified as clumped. With this finding, it is hoped that it can increase public awareness to maintain natural biodiversity, as well as become basic information for further research on Mount Sagara Garut, especially on terrestrial orchids.
