Abstract
Keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal merupakan bagian dari keterampilan abad 21 yang penting dikembangkan dalam suatu pembelajaran agar tercipta suasana kelas yang interaktif dan kolaboratif. Penelitian ini berupaya mengatasi permasalahan kurangnya penguasaan guru terhadap model pembelajaran, kurangnya interaksi siswa dalam pembelajaran di kelas, dan komunikasi interpersonal siswa yang pasif dan hanya didominasi oleh siswa-siswa tertentu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen non equivalent control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dengan indikator keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal menurut Devito (2019) yaitu keterbukaan (openness), empati (empathy), dukungan (supportiveness), rasa positif (positiveness), dan kesetaraan (equality). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa MTs Negeri 1 Bandung yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen di kelas VIII K dan kelompok kontrol di kelas VIII J. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji paired sample t-test dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal siswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model cooperative learning tipe two stay two stray dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelompok eksperimen. Hasil analisis uji independent sample t-test dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kemudian, hasil analisis uji N-Gain diperkuat dengan hasil statistik deskriptif pada angket variabel X menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pada kategori sedang model cooperative learning tipe two stay two stray terhadap keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di MTs Negeri 1 Bandung Kelas VIII K dengan kategori cukup efektif. Interpersonal communication skills are part of 21st-century skills that are important to develop in learning to create an interactive and collaborative classroom atmosphere. This study attempts to address the problems of teachers' lack of mastery of learning models, lack of student interaction in classroom learning, and passive student interpersonal communication that is only dominated by certain students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design method. The instrument used is a questionnaire with indicators of interpersonal communication skills according to Devito (2019), namely openness, empathy, support, positiveness, and equality. The research subjects were students of MTs Negeri 1 Bandung who were divided into an experimental group in class VIII K and a control group in class VIII J. The results of data analysis using paired sample t-test can be concluded that there are differences in students' interpersonal communication skills before and after the implementation of the cooperative learning model type two stay two stray in social studies learning in the experimental group. The results of the independent sample t-test analysis can be concluded that there are differences in students' interpersonal communication skills in social studies learning between the experimental group and the control group. Then, the results of the N-Gain test analysis were strengthened by the results of descriptive statistics on the X variable questionnaire showing that there was a moderate influence on the cooperative learning model type two stay two stray on students' interpersonal communication skills in social studies learning at MTs Negeri 1 Bandung Class VIII K with a fairly effective category.
